„The cottages are outside of the village in a very quiet area and provide all you need. The only drawback is the temperature in winter. The cottage is not well insulated and the heating doesn't work. It blows lukewarm air into the room- definitely not enough to warm up the place. Besides, the (electric) fan is VERY noisy “

„Wunderschön gelegen in einem gepflegten Garten mit Wasserlauf. Von der Hütte kann man direkt Kängurus, Kakadus und viele andere Tiere beobachten. Die Hütte war hervorragend eingerichtet, es fehlte an nichts. Die Küche hatte alles, was man zum selbst kochen braucht. Es ist sinnvoll, hier selber zu kochen, um zum Abendessen den Kängurus zuzuschauen. „Davidson Cottage was charming and cosy and very well situated for a walk into the Penola township or a drive to the wineries.Our hosts had thought of everything we may need and we made good use of the open fire, whilst our little dog loved the sun filled fenced yard and getting to know the Alpaca next door. This was a great base to explore the Coonawarra and we have stocked up our cellar for winter. We certainly hope to return.“

„This property (with three rentals) is incredibly delightful. Each cottage is very separate with views looking in different directions which gave us a 100% feel of being the only ones there. The cottages have been beautifully built and furnished with everything you could need. We were there in the middle of winter. „A quirky cottage that was warm and comfortable.A few minor maintenance issue that need to be addressed - no light in the hallway. back door was jamming and key to the Games room as per notice in the kitchen did not work. We wish the fridge had been turned on prior to our arrival as we had bought a lot of food with us that needed to be put into the fridge. The coffee was out of date so if you are going to provide it can I suggest that it be in date.“

„Stayed for 5 days over Christmas - 4 of us in total (couple and parents-in-law). Cottage was a great base for exploring the area, and nice and comfortable. Very quiet for relaxing and sleeping, and plenty of kangaroos and birds visiting the property. Simple but decently equipped, we were able to make a Christmas dinner in the kitchenette. Friendly and communicative management, no issue with us arriving a bit late. Would definitely recommend and consider coming back if we visit the Grampians ...
