„Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village.“

„The hut looked really shabby from the outside but, thankfully, it was better inside. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but there were no towels or tea-towels, dishcloths etc. and no tea, coffee etc. The bed linen wasn’t great, with stains and burn marks on the duvet cover. The mattress was stained. As a one night stop-over on a bike ride it was OK, just.“

„Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit.“

„The pictures of the property presented a cozy looking what it turned out to be was a drab, dirty and far from cozy place. The bedding was old, though seemed clean. The lights in the kitchen didn't work very well making the area dark. The show door handle was broken and there wasn't any hot water.
