The Airstream beside the ADU has air conditioning that is currently out of order. The main ADU air conditioning is still available.

Both homes and their paired Airstreams are included in your booking, with no shared living spaces.

🚗 Park on the left-hand side of the cabin in front of the log, or on the other side of the ADU/cabin between the Airstreams. Do not block driveway access.

The Neighborhood:

The Welches community in Oregon is located between the Sandy and Salmon Rivers, making it a recreational paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The area offers a wide range of activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and golfing.



Hikers can explore the scenic Old Salmon River Trail beside the river. Golfers can enjoy a challenging round at the Mt. Hood Oregon Resort, which features three nine-hole courses: Pine Cone, Foxglove, and Thistle. The courses offer stunning views of the surrounding scenery.

Getting Around:

🚶 Walking — This mountain retreat is nestled in the Mt. Hood area, surrounded by nature. While not a walkable urban setting, the peaceful surroundings and outdoor recreation more than make up for it.



🚗 Driving — A car is recommended for getting around. The area is well connected via US-26. Free parking at the property.



🏔️ Recreation — Close to Mt. Hood skiing: Explore Skibowl, Government Camp, Timberline and Trillium Lake, along with hiking trails and the Sandy River. The charming town of Sandy is a drive away for groceries, dining, and supplies.



✈️ Airport — PDX is reachable by car via US-26 West; allow for traffic and mountain weather.

• No parties allowed — max of 14 guests at a time and 4 vehicles on the property

• This is a multi-structure rental: both homes and their paired Airstreams are included

• This property is family-owned and loved—please treat it with care and respect



Due to a Dec 2025 storm, part of the roof line, front porch and railing have sustained damage. The visible damage is noticeable.

We welcome pets! Our cleaning team cleans between stays, though we can't guarantee 100% dander-free for allergy-sensitive guests

Please observe the quiet hours in your booking’s house rules.



🚭 No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on the property, indoors or outdoors. Guests who wish to smoke or vape must leave the property completely.



Interaction with Guests:

We're available by message anytime and respond as quickly as we can. We're local to Portland and happy to help with anything - from restaurant recommendations to a quick answer at midnight when you can't find something. We keep a hands-off approach unless you need us, and when you do, we're right there.
