„What a lovely place to stay. Friendly, accommodating, quiet, comfortable is only the start of the experience. Definitely book for the dinner which is excellent and served in the small but intimate restaurant. Breakfast - really good with locally supplied produce - doesn't get much better. We stayed in the Bothy which was very big and even had a little kitchenette. Proper fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge meant a decent cup of tea could be had watching the rabbits and guinea fowl on the ...

„We started our tour on the Cleveland Way in Helmsley. After a Long day we got. a room near the kitchen wich was noisy and not really comfortable. All in all was the hotel not the price valid we payed“

„A really comfortable hotel in a lovely village well placed for exploring North Yorkshire. The staff were all excellent, the food was superb and the bed was very comfortable. It’s not super modern as it’s in an old building but this makes it cosy and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated so lovely for a dip before breakfast.“

Breakfast was so good and there was a lot of choice. We had a pool room which was perfectly positioned next to the pool which was clean with loungers and seating. I would highly recommend a visit here and we will certainly visit again.“

„We had a wonderful 5 night stay. A quiet village on the edge of the moors with cozy country pub. The pub food was spectacular! I’m not exaggerating… the chefs are top notch. The pub staff were so friendly and helpful too. The room was comfortable with a full king size bed and small well stocked kitchen. If we lived in the UK, we’d visit every year! „Checkin was rather lengthy. The receptionist took her time doong the paperwork. Explaining how the keys work took some more time. The room was clean but could do with some renovations. The bed was comfortable. Altogether I would recommend the hotel for someone who needs a roof for a night. Not more and not less. “

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable.
