I checked in after 7:00 PM and unfortunately, there was no one at the front desk. I called out several times, but no one responded — even though I could hear someone in a nearby room having a conversation on their cell phone. Another guest in the lobby also got up to look for assistance because no one was available.
After raising my voice even more, a staff member finally came out, still holding her phone. I understand she may have been on a break, but there was no bell or button to alert someone that guests were waiting, which made the experience frustrating — especially after a long, tiring day.
Additionally, I’d like to mention a few other concerns:
• The door to my room does not close completely unless pushed firmly, which raises safety concerns.
• The pillows were extremely soft, so I would recommend bringing your own for better comfort.
• There was tape on the carpet in the breakfast area, which was unpleasant to look at and walk on.
That said, I do want to acknowledge that the staff was very friendly once present, and my room was clean and well-kept.
I made my reservation through Experian, but upon arrival that evening, I was charged an additional $50. The front desk staff explained that this was an incidental hold — in case something was damaged in the room or if I wanted to purchase snacks or other items during my stay. I was told the $50 would be returned. That has not happened yet
