„The hotel is quite old and the rooms require renovation. The rooms have no air condition, furniture is old and not in best condition. Bathroom and shower are too small. In addition to this, there were some other small issues (soap missing, some dirt in the room). These would individually not justify a bad rating but together with the general state of the hotel give a bad impression.“

„We enjoyed staying at the Brocket Arms for weekend. The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with what we needed (kettle, water, wardrobe and desk/dressing table as well as TV and en suite shower room). The room was modern but retained its 16th century character with exposed beams in the bedroom. We especially enjoyed the food which was high quality, well cooked 'pub fayre' (steak, sausage and mash, fish and chips and a good selection of 'proper' puddings) and breakfast was excellent too. ...

„A great find. On arrival we walked over to look at all the boats on Roydon Marina and had lunch at The Boathouse Cafe Bar, which overlooks the Marina. Staff friendly and helpful in the Hotel Reception. We had booked a windowless room but figured we'd be watching television or asleep so wouldn't need to worry about looking out of a window. It got a bit stuffy in the night and felt a bit constricted but it was probably more psychological than actual. Train station in walking distance. Trains to ...
