Other things to note
Stepping out the front door will connect you to over 200 miles of hiking and biking trails in the Red Cliff Desert Reserve, where you and your gang can discover petroglyphs, fossilized dinosaur tracks, and even catch a glimpse of the protected Mojave Desert Tortoise. A short 8 mile drive will take adventurous souls to discover the Red Cliffs Trail Head in the Red Cliffs Preserve. Red rock canyons, slot canyons, dinosaur tracks, Anasazi pit houses, and historic homesteads are all accessible out of this trailhead. Less than 10 miles away are the warm waters of Quail Creek State Park - perfect for paddle boarding, water-skiing or playing on the beach. 16 miles east lies Sand Hollow Reservoir and a short 36 mile drive will motor you to the iconic monoliths of Zion National Park.
