Dieses charmante Stadthaus im großartigen Stadtteil Del Ray in Alexandria bietet alles, was Sie für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigen. Viele Restaurants und trendige Geschäfte befinden sich direkt vor der Tür. Spazieren Sie zum lokalen Del Ray Farmer's Market, mehreren Coffeeshops, Sushi, Pizza, Italienisch, Französisch, Mexikanisch / Salvadorianisch, BBQ, fantastischen Burgern, fantastischem gefrorenem Pudding und Bio- / Biolebensmittel-Café. Viele Orte haben Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien. Fantastisches Käsegeschäft / Restaurant und lokaler Metzger. Unglaubliches Yoga / Pilates Studio mit heißem Yoga namens Mind the Mat ist nur ein paar Blocks entfernt. Ebenfalls nur ein paar Blocks entfernt befindet sich ein Fahrradverleih von Capital BikeShare sowie ein Coop-Fahrradgeschäft. Gehen Sie zum Hundepark, CVS, Lebensmittelgeschäft, YMCA, Rad- / Wanderweg, der den ganzen Weg zum Mt. geht. Vernon Estate in eine Richtung und Washington, DC in die andere und verbindet sich mit Meilen anderer Trails. In der Nähe der historischen Altstadt (1,5 Meilen) mit noch mehr Boutiquen und Restaurants und einem erstaunlichen Bauernmarkt, der an dem Ort abgehalten wurde, an dem er zu George Washingtons Zeiten stattfand. Paddle Board und Kajak Möglichkeiten auf dem Potomac. Zu Fuß (1 Meile) zur U-Bahn. Zwei Schlafzimmer (ein Queen mit verstellbarer Basis (!) und ein voll) und ein Badezimmer im Obergeschoss. Das Zimmer mit dem großen Bett hat keinen Kleiderschrank, aber es gibt viel Platz zum Aufhängen im anderen Schlafzimmer und es gibt einen Haken an der Rückseite der Tür. Voll ausgestattete Gourmetküche mit offenem Grundriss, Granitoberflächen, guten Messern und Kochgeschirr. Wunderschön angelegter, umzäunter Garten mit schöner Beleuchtung und Feuerstelle. Parkplätze an der Straße stehen immer direkt vor dem Hotel oder in wenigen Abständen zur Verfügung. Dies ist eine Maisonette - kein Ort für Partys oder Late-Nighter. Sorry aber NICHTRAUCHER. Leider sind keine Langzeitbuchungen möglich. Gut erzogene Hunde sind gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr von 20 USD pro Hund und Nacht immer willkommen.

Comfortable, well-located home in Alexandria

We were very comfortable in this well-furnished and well-equipped Del Ray home. The location is convenient for walking to town and to the park and nearby trails - and for travel by car/metro to D.C. Our host made it easy to check-in and out, and we appreciated her easy communication throughout our week stay.

Not what we expected

This VRBO was in a good location and showed promise of being a great property. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the condition of the house. It seemed rundown and not taken care of. It did not seem as if it had a thorough cleaning, the backyard area was completely unusable. The basement where the second bedroom was, was musty and noisy due to a refrigerator that runs all night long. The owner told us she would refund us for a night due to the fact that the basement wasn’t even open to us when we arrived. We never did receive a refund and would still appreciate that from her. we actually ended up staying at my sisters house since it was much more comfortable and clean. I would not recommend this property.

Charming home, Walkable, Great Location

We highly recommend Maria’s home. It was perfect for us as a spot to visit a family member who had major surgery at a DC hospital. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, details like robes for guests, and of course the fabulous, walkable neighborhood with restaurants, shops and a park. Maria was great to work with as well. Repeat Winner

This was our second visit to Maria's home. We immediately felt right at home and were happy to once again be a part of the Del Ray community. The house was spotless and just as advertised. We love the gourmet gas stove in the roomy kitchen/ dining combo. And the updated bathroom was such a nice treat. Our lab enjoyed the yard space and the walks through the neighborhood. Maria was easy to communicate with before and during our stay. You will not regret choosing this home as a bad for visiting northern Virginia and the DC area.

Almost like home

We were back for a 2nd visit to this sweet home away from home. Lovely to see the neighborhood in the springtime. All the conveniences of home are provided in a tidy and charming package. Short walk to the Del Ray shopping and dining district. Well located for any of your other DC needs.

Perfect Home Base

Visiting family in Alexandria and this little home in Del Ray was a perfect home base. Very easy communicating with Maria. Home was tidy and neat. Nice size living and dining areas. Kitchen was very well stocked and a beautiful gas stove. The 2 bedrooms are on the small side as is the bath, but quite adequate for our needs. Lots of hot water. Lovely deck and garden space in the fenced back yard. Dog friendly for our fur baby. And the neighborhood was perfect for walking and enjoying the weather. We hope to return. :) Tip: Grab a coffee and pastry at Junction Bakery. Yummy!

Truly Charming

Everything about this townhome was charming and being there was extremely relaxing and peaceful. The home was also very clean and comfortable. The owner was great to work with and quick to answer any questions. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and friendly. We found parking right in front of the house every day of our stay there. The patio and the backyard would have been the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening but it rained several days during our stay so we didn’t have the opportunity to do so. We were in Alexandria to visit family so we ate most meals at their homes but there are many good restaurants in Del Ray and we hope to try take-out from a few next time. We did order burgers from Holy Cow which is a short walk from the house and they were delicious. We enjoyed our stay in Del Ray and we look forward to staying in this lovely townhome again if it is available on our next visit to Alexandria.

Perfect stay in Del Ray

With this being my first visit to the DC area, I was absolutely blown away with how amazing the Del Ray area was. There are so many restaurants just a few blocks away. We stayed for 5 days and never are at the same place twice. The house was the perfect home base for our DC adventure. Maria was great to work with and made our trip truly wonderful.

Relaxing home away from home

So much better than staying at a hotel in this area. This super clean home is in a very quiet neighborhood and conveniently close to Old Town and Washington DC sights. Maria has everything we needed to make us feel at home.

Great place to stay!!

Awesome communication with host!! Very inviting home in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, and very comfy beds! Close to amazing restaurants and grocery stores. If you have young children, there is a cute playground around the corner. Look forward to staying here again the next time my family and I visit!

Warm and welcoming home with character and charm!

It was a treat to stay in this home - it was comfortable, pleasant, beautifully decorated and has a ton of charm. Maria, the owner, was so wonderful to work with! All the little details of the home tell a beautiful narrative of family, simple living and honoring what is most important in life - human connection. While it might seem a bit overboard to draw such conclusions in a VRBO review, if you stay with her, you'll understand. The kitchen is well appointed, the decor is tasteful and fun, and the home is impeccably clean. Maria was so kind in our few interactions and provided helpful information that enabled us to feel at home. Five stars, for sure!
