GORGEOUS property - autumn at this property is stunning. Lots of walking trails, amazing shoreline features. I love the outdoor seating arrangements (at least 3 clusters of chairs in different places along the shoreline - fantastic!).

This was a very beautiful property outside of Washburn that was so private and serene. The cabin is very spacious and has all the amenities that you would need. The location was superb with only a few minutes to Washburn and 10 minutes to Bayfield. It was also on a dead end street so there were no cars that came down the road. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to go back again someday.

Wonderful cabin in a great location. We where there in August with our three kids. We brought our own inflatable kayaks. No problem getting down the stairs and enjoying the shoreline. We even swam over to the local rock jumping spot and jumped into the lake. The cabin in a five minute drive to Friendly Valley Beach, which has 2.5 miles of shoreline. Highly recommend! The beach had tons of sandbars, so you can walk out 50 feet and suddenly be in shallow water. The kids loved it, and the beach was never busy. Also highly recommend Meyer Beach for a totally different experience -- huge waves that give you a real sense for Lake Superior. The cabin has a washer/dryer in the master bedroom, which was great for keeping our swimsuits from smelling like the lake. The host provided laundry detergent / hand soap / body wash / shampoo / dish soap -- all the little cleaning items to make the stay easier. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need for easy meals (I would not attempt any large meals in the kitchen). I couldn't figure out the garbage compacter and the host was responsive and helpful. But otherwise, we felt like we had the place to ourselves even though the host was on the top floor. Just a note -- the sofa bed is in the sunroom, which has no curtains. So if you need that third bed, there is very little privacy. But the other two bedrooms were perfect. Would happily stay here again.

Location was incredible. Lovely views / grounds. Had all we needed for the short stay (kitchen, bathroom supplies). Would be helpful to be clearer about bed descriptions (1 queen, 1 king, 1 sofa bed). Could hear the owner upstairs often, hope we weren't distracting to them. No cab/Uber/Lyft services in the area at all, plan to drive everywhere. Many restaurants close early evening. Sparky's Bar/Grill was great! Local grocery store was awesome. Fun getaway! Wish we had more time to hike more, a reason to come back to the area. Thank You!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakeside apartment. It was close enough to activities we wanted to do in Bayfield and Cornucopia related to the Apostle Islands and yet far enough away to get some peace and quiet. If you cook, you will find the kitchen tight to work in, but sufficient. The owner was there for the weekend. We could hear him walking upstairs sometimes, but it wasn't a big deal. Several of the doors were squeaky, but hopefully they can amend that. All in all, a relaxing and beautiful place to stay.

This place is a total gem! Luxurious and well planned. You can't beat the views and steps that go right down to the crystal clear water and small caves. There are a lot of stairs but they are sturdy and we had no problem going up and down them several times daily. there are two tubes in the closet. We used the well stocked kitchen to make morning and evening meals. There is a massage chair that was a nice additional touch. We didn't hear or see the upstairs owners during our stay. The nearby waterfall is seasonal but the trail is still amazing with dells and leads to stairs and a rock people jumped off into Lake Superior. I would highly recommend.

I loved the sounds of the waves on the rocks during the day and especially at night while enjoying the moon and stars from the many Adirondack chairs. Beautiful shoreline and their very own rock island!

Beautiful location

This was a beautiful property right on the bank of Lake Superior. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 kids (10, 14) There are trails going to the nearby park (watch out for bears as that shortened our hike!) We got into the water and some swimming and kayaking around the area. There is just a ladder getting in so it would a bit challenging for smaller kids. Nice area of a fire pit to just sit outside and take in the beauty of the area.

Stunning Lake View & Access

The property was very luxurious with top notch furnishings and views out every window to make you smile. The stairs to the lake allow beautiful sights. If it was a little warmer we would have taken a dip with the tubes in the closet. While my son was fishing off the steps we talked to a kayaking group going through the tunnel under the stairs. It was a fantastic place to spend our vacation. At night we all enjoyed the massage chair too. Dont miss taking the Houghton Falls trail to see the 2 waterfalls, its just a short hike. Oh and make sure to take the grand tour boat ride to see the caves. What a sight!
