I am writing an email to complain about an incident which occurred at your hotel when I stayed on the 20/2/26 myself and my mum had driven up to pick my 4 year old up for the weekend and decided to stay at your hotel the waterside hotel during our stay we were disturbed twice by one of your fire alarms so we had to evacuate the building in doing so we all had to wait outside during a brief inspection by the fire brigade we were allowed back into the hotel and back into our rooms. So after trying to settle down a second time going on for 11.50pm we were woken again by another fire alarm this time I walked out of the room and one of your colleagues said it’s ok it’s a false alarm we have a temporary fault with the alarm so the engineer is coming out etc. I was not only annoyed but I had to comfort my 4 year old daughter who was quite traumatized by the whole situation. I had to also calm my 75 year old mum down as she was very stressed by the whole situation. I understand that it’s not your fault but the second alarm however really annoyed me because I think to myself shouldn’t you have your alarms tested on a regularly basis etc. we had a terrible nights sleep myself my mum and my 4 year old daughter. Having stayed at your hotel a few times I was quite surprised by the lack of empathy from your staff when the second alarm went off. I explained the situation to a staff member on Saturday morning and she said she would pass on details when we went to check out on Sunday I asked
