Chinese Whispers - Wandiligong

Bedding Configuration:

All bedding, linen and bath towels are provided. BYO river/pool towels.

The cottage exudes old world style with large verandas, a fire pit, inside wood fire, a large deck for summer dining and charming features.

Just a short stroll to the Wandi pub and numerous short walks this house is lovely and secluded for a real sense of escape.
The house sleeps 8 guests.

There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen.

Pricing for this property is based on a 4-person base rate. Additional guest sur-charge per person per night applies.

Wifi: Whilst we do anticipate Wifi will be available during your stay, it is not guaranteed. Wifi availability is dependent on the network provider.

Pets welcome! - Chinese Whispers is one of our Pet Friendly properties, allowing you to bring along your furry friends. You are required to please notify Bright Escapes if bringing a pet as a fee of $50.00 per pet will be applicable.
Strictly a maximum of 2 fury friends per property.
Pets are not to be left unattended at a property for any period of time.
It is your responsibility to clean up any pet droppings before vacating a property.
Pets are not allowed on any soft furnishings in the accommodation. Please bring their own beds and blankets as required.
Professional dry-cleaning charges will apply for any pet hair found on soft furnishings, soiled carpet or soiled soft furnishings.

* Please note firewood for heating is supplied from the 1st of May until the 30th of September.
You will be supplied with an allocation of 1 night's firewood, if extra wood is required you will need to purchase it yourself.
The property does have ample heating inside besides the wood heater *.

For weekends, please report any issues to our afterhours mobilewith 24hrs of arrival.

Fantastic location and house

Great house and location. Great fireplace inside and the ability to heat all the rooms with it is fantastic. Be sure to visit the Wandi pub.

Nice spot in Wandi

Nice spot in Wandi, with a great front deck area overlooking the outdoor fire pit. Separate shed/games room includes workshop and some bike tools which came in handy on our Mountain Biking weekend away. About a 5min drive into the town of bright but very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely place to stay with extended family while visiting the snow. Property had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed making wood fires, playing table tennis and going for long walks along the nearby creek with our dog.

Truly was a wonderful escape

Stayed here in Wandiligong for the Autumn festival in Bright. Although Bright was our main focus we came to love Wandiligong with lovely walks and just a beautiful place to wind down, relax and reconnect with nature. This home was wonderful to stay at, with great amenities and a lovely warm welcome. Everything to make a toasty fire in the coonara and everything needed to just come in and make yourself at home. We also enjoyed the games room. Close to Bright and also Mt Hotham, minutes away from the shop precinct.

So Special

We absolutely loved our holiday at Chinese Whispers. The property is truly set in a piece of paradise! The house is well set up and the beds/linen are sooooo comfy. The nights around the fire pit were awesome. Bright Escapes were fabulous to deal with and special thanks to the wonderful owners for their response to our misadventures. We cannot wait to visit again!

Our stay in the Chinese Whispers house at Wandiligong was very good. It is set in a beautiful garden and the house is very comfortable and well provisioned. We could easily decide to come again for another out of town holiday.

A gorgeous Alpine cottage with divine views

We have enjoyed a brilliant week at Wandi staying in this very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed cottage. The views from the deck are divine and the ease of access to walks, cycling routes and beautiful Bright made for a fabulous family stay. Our Labrador loved exploring the nearby streams flowing through the Diggings. The kitchen is well stocked with all we needed to cook and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Great location

Well set out residence, the only let down was the cleanliness of the residence,mold in the fridge bottom draws, bottom of the kitchen rubbish bins had grim in them, ants in the lounge chairs due to the crums that were under the cushions.

Cody with a great sense of space

We really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. The wonderful yard and garden. Facilities in the house suited our purposes and kitchen was well equipped for cooking and feeding visitors. We would love to stay again
