Gehen Sie durch die Eingangstür in dieses malerische und eigenartige Strandhaus in Waldport. Genießen Sie jeden Aspekt der Küste, von den Sanddünen bis zu den Wellen des Pazifischen Ozeans, während Sie in diesem wunderlichen Rückzugsort mit zwei Schlafzimmern und eineinhalb Bädern entspannen. Dieses Sweet Home wurde 2018 komplett renoviert und bietet alle neuen Möbel, farbenfrohe Akzente und verspricht, durchweg lustige Details zu finden.

Bei Whimsical Dunes handelt es sich um ein farbenfrohes und sonniges Einfamilienhaus mit Loft in der Bayshore Community von Waldport. Es gibt zwei komfortable Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Betten, die nach vorheriger Ankündigung in zwei Einzelbetten umgewandelt werden können. Zwischen den beiden Schlafzimmern befindet sich ein neu gestaltetes Badezimmer mit begehbarer Dusche, das ohne Lippe gebaut wurde und denjenigen, die es benötigen, einen einfachen Zugang bietet. Der Dachboden ist der perfekte Ort, um zu entkommen, ein gutes Buch zu genießen, aus den Fenstern zu schauen und nach Walen Ausschau zu halten oder die Kinder in ihrem eigenen kleinen Versteck zu verstecken. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine halbe Bad aus der Waschküche. Beobachten Sie die Wellen oder einen unserer spektakulären Sonnenuntergänge vom Ocean Front Deck aus, genießen Sie den Whirlpool nach einem Tag am Strand oder grillen Sie frischen Fisch, der von einem der Fischereifahrzeuge in Newport gefangen wurde!

Die kleine Stadt Waldport ist ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt für Ihre Erkundungen der zentralen Küste.
Darüber hinaus haben Sie gegen eine geringe tägliche oder wöchentliche Gebühr Zugang zum Bayshore Clubhaus. This was a very nice house and we enjoyed our stay very much. The house showed a little wear with some worn paint in the kitchen and some stains on some of the furniture, but overall it was a great central location for our vacation with lots of things to do in nearby towns. The walk to the beach was a little difficult due to the dunes, but on the last day we finally found a boardwalk about 1/4 mile away. If we had known about that, we would have enjoyed the beach much more! We said several times that we wished there was a notebook that would have explained little details like that, how to run the hot tub, what are some good restaurants nearby, etc. There were instructions about the trash and laundry, but having it all in one central location would have been helpful.

Cool little place, but not clean

I’ll start with the good stuff: this was a cute little place with a neat feel and great decor (really liked the art). Beach access and location was fantastic. They provided a ton of towels which was much appreciated. Also liked the availability of washer and dryer with laundry soap. The bad stuff: When we arrived, the code they had given us didn’t work and there was a brief delay getting in as the management provided us with a new code—this wasn’t a huge issue. there was a large ball of hair on the shower wall and another on the shower drain . As if this wasn’t disgusting enough, one of the bedrooms reeked of urine. It was the little area rug which I rolled up myself and removed from that room. I opened the windows and scrubbed the floor with cleaner. After a second cleaning and a day with that window open, it was tolerable. I did mention this all to the manager and there was an offer to remove the carpet but no profuse apology or offer to have someone come clean the place. There was food in the freezer that wasn’t removed from previous guests. They also didn’t provide coffee—this was the first vacation rental I had been to that didn’t provide coffee.

Our favorite beach rental

This is our second time staying at this property. My kid loved it so much that he was packed and ready for the trip on Monday night when we weren’t heading to the coast until Saturday afternoon. The loft is his room when we stay there and he loves everything about this place. The kitchen is easily the most well stocked of any vacation rental we’ve used to date. Everything is clean and comfortable. Host was very organized and responsive, and the welcome materials are thorough to the point that I’ve never needed to get in touch once our stay begins. Highly recommend this rental for a great beach getaway.

Fabulous, cozy and quirky beach house

Stayed at Whimsical Dunes for a little mini writing retreat with my friend. We wanted a cozy place to write and we got it! The house is decorated so fun and cute with adorable colors and great artwork. The location is steps to an amazing beach, and even though it rained most of our week (forced us to stay inside and do more writing!) we did enjoy our walks when it was sunny. We brought all our food for the week and planned on cooking all our meals, but we did have trouble with the oven not working. When we notified the owners they sent someone out to look at it and while it wasn't an easy fix they did issue us a bit of a refund which was nice. The only small things we kind of struggled with were the TV was hard to figure out, there were multiple remotes and no instructions. Also the kitchen utensils and dishware could be updated, it was mostly cheap but we made it work. All in all we had a lovely stay!

Wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed for a little getaway and had a perfect time. The beach cabin is cozy, well remodeled and very comfortable. Bed was comfy, which is something most rentals lack. We squeezed in one beach walk before a massive storm hit. We did lose power, but we made the best of it. Would be a great stay for two families. Beach access is top tier.

Thanksgiving getaway

Perfect place for a relaxing Thanksgiving getaway at the ocean. Loved the sunset view, from the deck and hot tub. Amazing selection of DVDs. The shower and tub were fun and truly luxurious. We brought wet suits and really enjoyed the easy access to the beach and waves. Thank you for the camp chairs - they were great to take in the sunset from the top of the dunes. Our pup Sebastian absolutely loved the beach! Another magical stay in Waldport - worth the drive!

Good spot by the ocean,

Property is as advertised. They were very clean. They could use a little WD 40 on the hot tub padlock, fix the microwave since the single digit minute is hard to see, and tighten the legs on the dining room chairs since they were wobbly (my husband did some). Great supply of towels. We only used one of the beds and it was comfortable.

Favorite new vacation house!

This house was everything we hoped it would be and more! It was charming, clean, and so comfortable. The beds were seriously the best we have ever experienced. The kitchen and the bathroom were both amazing, and we loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view. A lot of effort has clearly gone into the home decor, it’s definitely whimsical! Good location

The house is in a good location, with a short walk to the beach. The house itself feels a bit worn and we couldn’t get the fan in one of the bedrooms to work (we had messaged them about it but didn’t hear back). The hot tub was nice to use, but it smelled strongly of chemicals and looked very worn. It was also very hot in the house. We were happy with the amount of space, the location, and how the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook. .

Ideal beach house

Lovely property a short walk over a couple dunes to the beach. The hot tub is a great amenity. I was even more stoked for the foot shower. No AC, but you don’t need it. Windows open in 65 degree July evenings made for perfect sleeping conditions. Highly recommended

Spring Break w College Kiddo

Great spot to enjoy time with our son on his college spring break. Located in easy driving distance to Newport to the north, Waldport to the immediate south, and Yachats just beyond. Very dog friendly, too. Highly recommend!

Time to Relax on the Oregon Coast

This is a great property with a wonderful view of the ocean. It is decorated with wonderful quirky touches and has everything anyone would need to feel right at home. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location was fantastic with easy access to a long sandy beach and an easy drive to Newport, Lincoln City, Yachats, Florence, and all of the other fun stops along 101. The house was unique. Rooms and loft area were pretty standard, although some blinds in the loft area would have been nice. Dining and living area were comfortable, but the fans didn't function, which became noticeable with the afternoon sun. The kitchen left a lot to be desired as the refrigerator door (right side) doesn't close properly unless you lift the door up as you close it. Nearly every dish or utensil we pulled out was dirty (ie, food still stuck to it as if it had been put away right after a meal), which was a pretty big turn off. Lots of DVD options for when the weather isn't great with some games and cards too. Overall, we thought it was a decent place that, with a little attention, could be great.

Amazing Anniversary Trip

This house is wonderful, the property manager was great to work with and the hot tub was awesome! We enjoyed all of it and our little dog Isla also enjoyed watching the rabbits and trying to find out where they went in the dune grass! What a great place to visit, we will use them again for another vacation!
