„wir waren als Familie mit zwei Teens für vier Tage dem sehr urigen Pub (Haus aus dem 16.Jh.)BEL & DRAGONS in kingsclere, verteilt über zwei Zimmer. Das Team war SUPER nett und aufmerksam, die Zimmer niedlich und individuell. Toll waren die fünf Kamine im Pub / Restaurant, die gerade zu Sylvester zum Verweilen einluden. Das Essen war wirklich RICHTIG gut. Es gab außerdem ein separates Spielzimmer, den Drawing room, mit diversen Spielen, Büchern sowie Whiskey, Tee und Kaffee zur freien Verfügung.  ...

„I everything, from entering until leaving our stay was amazing. We hadn’t even left and we were looking at when we would be coming back. The staff were very helpful. Only concern was the noise coming from the spa which was directly below our room, we were not notified that at 7.30am a loud humming noise would be heard. When we do rebook we will be wanting a different room (room 16) apart from that it was great!“

„Wir haben das Hotel besucht, weil es in der Nähe von Highclere Castle (Drehort: Downton Abby) liegt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer sehr schön, groß und sauber. Das Bett war für britische Verhältnisse wirklich sehr gut. Das Frühstück war klassisch britisch aber gehobeneren Standards. Zum Besuch des nächsten Supermarktes oder Restaurants braucht man jedoch ein Auto. Die Golfanlage ist sehr nett aber leider keine erkennbaren Möglichkeiten vorhanden drumherum spazieren zu gehen.“

„Nice little Inn with rooms above the Public Pub and some at the yard behind the house in the old stables. Lovely decorated and a wonderful bath. Some doors and windows are a little bit too rattly or roughly crafted, sobut you may hear a little bit to much from the outside troubles. But all in all everything fits very well and the typical english breakfast with modern elements (e.g. avocado, tomato chutney and poached eggs) is very delicious. „Schlechte Internetverbindung, die Mitarbeiter nehmen die Anfragen der Gästen nicht ernst (ich habe drei mal gefragt ob sie eine Rechnung per email schicken können, immer freundlich am Telefon aber die Rechnung kommt aber nicht), und das Zimmer ist echt laud (Musik von der Kneipe ist genauso wie im Zimmer gespielt) ... nie wieder“
