„It’s a run down bach! The pictures look great but unfortunately the accommodation is not! Not only the garden needs to take care of. The bathroom especially the shower is moldy. The top of the fridge was super sticky. It might be a good backpacking accommodation but not the one we expected looking at the pics. We decided not to stay there and left the place. It felt so homely and had everything we needed. the Bach is walking distance to the beach and so many things to explore. it even has a vehicle entrance and miles of drivable beach during low tide. Thanks to Barb and Graham for letting us stay at their lovely bach and we will surely be back.“

„Perfect property for a large family birthday celebration, this is a very well set up home and has the most beautiful views out to the harbour and sand dunes , the weather was perfect and the deck was well used over the entire stay!We had a lovely weekend away together and highly recommend this property for the home and the location. “

„Enjoyed yesteryear charm. Excellent little touches. Be prepared to travel for Cafe's in Rawene. Great to walk the Kohukohu village up past the school to appreciate the wonderful old villas. Most were built in the 1800's. Best to purchase a concession card for ferry travel. Much cheaper.“

„We booked the cottage & apartment to accomodate our group. The host was welcoming & engaging without being intrusive. We made the most of the close proximity of the beach, a delightful cafe & a restaurant. It was a memorable & enjoyable stay.“

"Overall good hotel right at the water. We had a room without sea view, quiet with parking directly in front of the room. Bed was super comfy, however the room could've had a little more thought put into it. There were no electrical outlets next to the bed, plus the switch for the night stand lights could not be reached when lying in bed. The windows could not be closed, so we had bugs inside. The bathroom did not have a fan to expel the moist air, which causes problems on the ceiling. In addition to that, the joints in the shower could use some extended cleaning or replacement. Overall good (8/10) but some room for improvement."
