We loved staying at House of Glass. The property is located in a small town (Waialua) but is only minutes away from the north shore surf town Haleiwa. We enjoyed being in a more secluded setting but having the option of lots of great food trucks and restaurants nearby (shout out to IslandX, Wicked Hi Cafe, Surf n Salsa and Banzai).
We have little kids (7 and 5) and I was concerned that the north shore waves and currents might be dangerous at the beachfront of the house. Priscilla assured me that the reefs out in front of the beach made it safe - indeed it was perfect for us and the kids. We did use some of the life vests, the surf boards, sand buckets/play stuff and floats that come with the rental. The house really had everything we could have needed/asked for. The beach was secluded and quiet (many days we were the only people on it), and there is a lovely reef area a little ways north (by the big tree roots and the point) where we all snorkeled together. A sea turtle swam up to my 5 year old under water and almost touched noses with her! It was truly magical. We also saw many types of fish at this little reef included Humuhumu, convict fish, sea snakes, urchins, and more.
I want to also say that we did have a little issue with one of the AC units during our stay but Priscilla responded quickly and had it fixed within 24 hours. She was an excellent host and I would absolutely stay at this property again.
