„Amazing themed rooms, very clean m with crisp white cotton sheets, and very comfy bed and pillows. Powerful shower and fluffy towels. Breakfast choice was amazing, cooked to order , very hot and tasty. Staff could not have been more helpful, requested more tea and milk sachets, bought to our room with 5 mins and asked if we would prefer fresh milk! Lady serving breakfast was lovely, very helpful and friendly Definitely stay here again “

„As this is a very old inn (parts of it out of the 15th century) you of course cannot expect a super modern equipped hotel. BUT if you look for something special, clean and cosy this is for sure the perfect fit. Check in was easy and the staff very helpful and friendly. The room was big enough for a few days stay, very clean and equipped with a good bed, a small TV and good blinds to darken the room. „Von den meisten Mitarbeiter wurde man nicht gegrüßt und man fühlte sich nicht willkommen (nicht einmal an der Rezeption)! Im Frühstücksraum hielt sich die Sauberkeit in Grenzen, tagelang riesige Spinnweben und eine dicke Staubschicht entlang der Wände! Im Zimmer war die Reinigung besser, allerdings wurden beschmutzte Bettwäsche und Handtücher benutzt! Die Betten sind viel zu klein und unbequem.“

„We feel so sorry to see such a beautiful place suffering of poor hotel management: We were two couples there for the opera in Glyndebourne. At arrival we were told we have booked 3 rooms which was not correct for we were just two couples. The rooms were nice, not exceedingly, with balcony overlooking the large wonderful area on the lawn. But the plumbers had done a miserable job: the sink and the bath tubes in both rooms were clogged and only after reclamation at reception were they fixed - ...

„It's a beautiful lodge to arrive at. As guest in the outer accommodation be mindful the old architecture stops here. However, the rooms were soaps spacious and clean and over looked the extensive grounds.“
