I initially wanted to stay at The Place Firenze since it was the place where my wife and I stayed for our honeymoon two decades ago. But I gotta tell you, this is one of the best places to stay in Florence. It is located slightly off the duomo area(about 25 min of walking distance) where you see local people and not so many tourists. It worked out as our base camp where we can relax and get away from the hustle ...

As was the case, the code had to be entered twice, once on the main door and second time on the reception door. As it was late and dark we did not see the second code.
