Jed was great to deal with and always prompt in returning emails and answering questions, he went out of his way to help and let us park our race car inside the shed as the car does not lock and we were concerned it might attract unwanted attention. rooms very clean and tidy and a good shower. ten out of ten from me.“

„It was a great little getaway, and we could imagine in summer it would be even nicer being able to enjoy the outdoor picnic spots by the pond. We arrived late in the day and were quite peckish, so enjoying a beautiful fresh loaf of bread, butter and cheese that greeted us when we arrived was lovely - along with a bottle of wine for later and a ginger beer for our young one. Even though we came in winter, the West Coast scenery and atmosphere never disappoints, and the house was lovely and ...

„Lovely spot, really handy for visiting family and friends in the area. Plenty of room for the 6 of us, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen and other amenities. Great hosts . We recommend it as a peaceful getaway spot.“

„We spent a beautiful week in Charlie‘s cottage, our kids were so happy with all the toys, we discovered local history with the nice books, enjoyed the dvds on rainy days and the panorama from the living. Kitchen is well equipped. With a bit of driving we could visit the area and do some beautiful hikes, goldpanning, visit Hokitika and even Franz-Josef-Glacier. Would definitely come again and recommend to other families or groups!“

„Property as advertised, great location. Pretty basic hut, light powered by batteries, no mains power or running water. Take your own camping supplies. Owner changed our dates at our request. This is a great location if you want to be off the grid, the shingle road is in an excellent condition.“

Die Dorfbewohner konnten uns jedoch helfen und die Eigentümer haben sich entschuldigt. Wäre das nicht gewesen, hätten wir 5 Sterne vergeben.“

„A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. For a last minute booking, it worked out well and appreciate the good ...

„We had the most restful stay in this cute retro bach. Everything we needed was provided. Adored the outdoor fire and bath. The covered outdoor eating area was perfect for rainy day dining. Extremely cosy indoors with fire. Even managed a wave from the train driver passing by!!!!!Highly recommend for a getaway. “
