I'm very disappointed with our stay at this property because of the amount of gnats and mosquitoes in the property. We were extremely miserable having to swat gnats and mosquitoes the entire time we were in the room. They were nonstop. We couldn't even eat our food because the bugs would attack it. Besides that, the floor was dirty with long hairs everywhere. Also on the first night we could hear constant footsteps from the apartment above. Very noisy! The first day, the hot water was not working until a plumber came to fix it. Hotels in the past have always compensate us when things are not right. Not this property! I got a message saying sorry for your inconvenience. This issue is extreme because it forced us to cut our stay in Venice short. We left a day before checking out because it was that bad. We had to pay more money to stay in another hotel in another city. We paid for a night that we couldn't even use because the bugs were driving us crazy. I recommend not staying at this property if you want comfort and bothered by never ending pesky insects. For every one bug we killed, like 40 more appeared. The apartment is nice and updated, but it's not a comfortable stay due to the bugs. Other guests have complained about a tick in the bed and sewage odor. We tried using the vacuum to clean the floor ourselves, but we smelled a gross sewage smell coming from the vacuum. So we swept instead. Last, it takes about 25 minutes walking to get to San Marcos, or 7.50 euro each way.
