Ashdown Forest is also renowned as the home of Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh. The Forester's Arms pub is only 0.5 miles away with shopping in nearby Uckfield (8 miles away) and a main line station with an hourly service to London.  There are many interesting historic houses, castles and gardens nearby to explore as  well as the Bluebell Railway at Sheffield Park.
