„This was a wonderful location for our family and dog to stay. The home was beautiful and the beach was lovely as well. It is quite a hike to the beach but there was a handy wagon there for our stay that we used to take things out to the beach. “

„We had a pleasant experience. The only problem was when we moved a fire pit closer to our cabin because the are was vacant (5 fire pits only 8 cabins, which needs to be addressed). The man who checks on the property came over and stated he drove by to talk to us earlier, but we were not at the cabin, which (a) seems like stalking and (b) his tone and the way he was leering at my daughter in law were not appreciated. If we stay next year my son and I may just kick his ass....we were tempted to ...

„Recently renovated and very well done, this house has everything you need for an "up north" getaway. Plenty of great views and lake access, along with room for our off-road vehicles (3) in the massive driveway. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a getaway in the Secord, Gladwin, Houghton areas. “

„Great property and close to Tawas for shopping and Lake Huron. Beautiful sunsets. Loved having a washer and dryer. We were a little disappointed that the Sand Lake access wasn’t closer but it all worked out. We drove to Lake Huron and swam in the Great Lake. “

„House was exactly as listed. Fantastic views. Nice yard for games and the deck and entrance to swim were perfect for entire family. Nice open concept for dining and living room to kitchen. Would come back in a heartbeat!“

„We had a great family vacation at “on the rocks”. Location was great, just north of town with a beautiful lake view. Very clean and lots of little extras - snacks, s'more's, popsicles that the kids loved, coffee and creamer, beach toys and towels, etc. The hosts thought of everything you could need for a home away from home! „We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head ...

We plan to stay here on a regular basis when in Tawas for our sailboat.“
