'THE LITTLE MERMAID', PORTHTOWAN
We are delighted to offer, on behalf of the owner, this cute little semi-detached chalet bungalow. 'The Little Mermaid' is located in Tregoyne, which is a little 'horseshoe' of similar properties, mostly residential with families, but with a small number of holiday lets. The award-winning Porthtowan beach is just a few minute's walk down the road (which initially is a steady slope, so may be approx 10 minute's walk back up, depending on how fit you are!).
Accommodation comprises:
Decked entrance with bistro seating, with patio doors leading into open plan lounge/kitchen.
Leading through to first bedroom which has a double bed, a short wardrobe/drawer unit, two bedside cabinets and touch lamps with USB ports.
Please note: the bathroom is accessed via the double bedroom. Bathroom comprises a shower cubicle, toilet and sink.
Stairs in the lounge lead you to the second bedroom which is situated in the converted loft (with velux window). Here you will find two single beds, drawers, shelves and clothes hanging space. Due to the slightly low sloping sides of the ceiling, please note the max central height is 170 cm.
The lounge has a comfy sofa, a chair and a side table. There is a smart 43" LED FHD Fire TV and SkyQ. Also a selection of books and games.
The adjoining kitchen (open plan) has a range of fitted cabinets, an oven/grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo machine and under-counter fridge with top freezer compartment. The kitchen is equipped to cater for 4 guests.
In this open plan room there is a dining table with 2 dining chairs and a 2-seater bench.
Outside to the rear of the bungalow there is a little enclosed garden for your sole use, laid in plum slate chippings, with a pretty flowerbed within old sleepers to enjoy from the outdoor seating. Please note: the garden is accessed down the outside of the bungalow, and is immediately in front of the double bedroom window.
Outside the front of the property there is a decked area with a little bistro table and chairs.
Wi-Fi/Phone: There is free unlimited Wi-Fi available for your use in this property. FYI, there is limited mobile signal in the village. For this reason you may want to check your mobile phone, as some offer the option of switching on Wi-Fi calling/messaging, or alternatively some mobile providers have an app you can download to enable you to use your mobile via a Wi-Fi signal, for example Three has ‘Three in Touch’.
Bed linen (protectors, fitted sheet, duvet), a hand-towel and a tea-towel are provided (guests must provide their own bath towels and beach towels and any cot bedding if required).
A highchair and a travel cot are available on request.
There is an allocated parking space for this property – a rare luxury for a seaside resort!

All of the village pubs/eateries are dog-friendly. *Please note, the updated seasonal dog ban now only applies from 15th May to 30th September between the hours of 10:00 and 18:00. During the restriction times, in the middle of the village there is a large sandy dunes/green area and river where dogs are very welcome and we also have direct access to the stunning SW coastal path.
