Torch Lake Sandbar Waterfront Home - with Dock!

Located on the turquoise waters of Torch Lake, this waterfront vacation home offers the perfect year round getaway!

The house is situated directly on the Torch Lake Sandbar, which is known for its shallow waters, sandy bottoms, beautiful sunsets, and crystal clear water.
The area is also known for it's amazing fall colors and as a winter paradise (snowshoeing, downhill and x-country skiing and snowmobiling trails are all nearby).

The house was newly renovated in the spring of 2021 and includes a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances: a stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Located next to the kitchen is a dining area that seats up to nine people and offers great views of the lake. The living room, adjacent to the dining room, provides comfortable seating for family movie and game nights. The house has four TVs, each with access to Netflix and Hulu TV. In front of the dining/living room is a beach-themed sunroom, which is great for enjoying a good book! The master bedroom includes a queen-sized bed as well as an attached walk-in closet and master bathroom. The cozy bunk room on the first floor has a twin-over-twin bunk bed. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also located on the first floor, right next to a half bathroom.

The upstairs offers a full bathroom and two large bedrooms: the lakeview room, with a king bed, and the fishing-themed room, with two full-sized beds. Both bedrooms have walk-in closets. In addition, a homey reading nook with a collection of books and lots of board games, drink fridge, microwave and coffee maker are located on the upstairs landing.

Finally the basement offers a ping-pong table and an air hockey table which are perfect for rainy days! Kids will find a train table with a wooden train set and a basket full of Lego Duplos.

A charming deck overlooking the lake is at the water’s edge. The dock, including a platform, provides the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. You can tie your boat to the dock during the day in calm weather. We also provide a mooring buoy in front of the dock (3' water depth). The dock is seasonal and available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

In addition, a romantic fire pit, with firewood provided, is in the yard overlooking the lake; the fire pit is the perfect place for s'mores, camp songs, and ghost stories. A grill is provided for cookouts.

Please note that this house is located in a residential neighborhood and we want to be respectful of our neighbors. The vacation home is intended for families who want to make life-long memories and not meant for loud parties.

Outstanding Property

We could not have been happier with our trip to Torch Lake. The rental was decorated beautifully and the owners thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect and we really enjoyed the fire pit and access to the water.

High School Friend-cation

Our friend group from high school got together for our first proper vacation. The property was beautiful and exactly as shown on the listing. Our hosts were very friendly and the house is kept well stocked. We took advantage of the boat rental company they suggested and had an amazing time! Fabulous property!

This torch Lake house was splendidly located, furnished, and equipped. It is even nicer than the pictures. The kitchen was perfect for a group of seven. We grilled out, we ate out on the picnic table. We enjoyed the sunset. We were on the dock every day, and we took advantage of the recommended pontoon rental company. We will definitely rent from this owner again.

Family Fun on Torch Lake :)

We have spent many summers on the lakes in Michigan but this house has the best location of any we've rented! Beautiful views of Torch Lake with very easy access to the sandbar for swimming. House was organized and set up perfectly and the owners were very kind and always quick with their communication. Our family had a wonderful and relaxing week and cannot wait to come back again! Charming waterfront home on Torch Lake

This home was such a pleasant and lovely retreat. Nestled in the woods, on the south end of Torch lake just a few steps to dock & swimming, kayaking or boating. The home is well stocked, extremely clean & beautifully decorated. The owners are nearby & offer pontoon rental for a very reasonable cost. Clean and Attention to Every Detail.

We had a great experience at this unit. Very clean and spacious with great, clean bathrooms with plenty of towels, TP, and linens and a well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to feel like you are cooking at home, yet on the water with fantastic nightly sunsets. We brought wood for the fire pit, but were surprised to find a hearty stack of seasoned and split hardwood. The Adirondack chairs were plentiful, weighty and sturdy, no plastic chairs at this place. Also we found the mooring bouy for our boat to be well-located and secure, which is important on Torch Lake. Finally, the owners, who reside next door, were available if you needed something—anything—but certainly did not hover. They could not have been nicer or more engaging. Bottom line: our family really loved our stay and we hope to come back again. .

Torch Lake Beauty

I have to echo so many of the past reviews of this property. To the beautiful well appointed house, outside firepit and ready access to the crystal clear waters of Torch Lake our stay was wonderful! We rented the host's son's pontoon boat and cruised the lake with a stop at the Dockside restaurant and back on the lake for swimming to work off the good food. (Rental of the lily pad is highly recommended.) Day trips included Mackinac Island, Petoskey State Park and Elk Rapids. Honestly it was very hard to leave the property. A very big thank you to the Stoldt's family for helping us to make so many magical memories!

Fantastic Torch Lake!

We stayed at this lake house with 6 people (2 parents and 4 adult kids) and had a great time. The lake house was very clean and had all of the kitchen and household necessities. There were 4 kayaks which we enjoyed using and we rented the BoatTorch pontoon boat for 2 days. The lake is beautiful and the bottom is nice and sandy. The famous sandbar was just down the lake a bit and was fun to hang out in and play frisbe and see the people and dogs. . We used the outdoor grill and the fire pit which was nice. The host lives next door— they were helpful and not intrusive. Loved our stay there and hope to return someday!

Perfect location

The house was wonderful, and the hosts were available and helpful. The dock on the sandbar made this a PERFECT location for families with little ones. The kitchen was the most well stocked rental I've ever stayed in. There was not a tool that we needed that wasn't there, which made cooking great. The only criticism (which I hate even using that word) is that the one bunk room isn't really suitable for adults, as there is no closet, so if you are traveling with 4 couples that want separate rooms, it's tight in the bunk room. The house was roomy, the kitchen was big enough for several people to be cooking, the fire pit was stocked with wood. There were toys, kayaks, life jackets and a few rafts. It was truly a dream and I would not hesitate to rent again from Anja. It was the perfect family vacation. Thanks, Anja!
