Hosted by Coastal Stay. Welcome to Northern Sky Cottages, a unique collection of three neighboring homes—Aurora Cottage, Astra Cottage, and Luna Cottage—offering the perfect setting for family reunions, group vacations, wedding guests, corporate retreats, and special gatherings.

Together, the three cottages provide 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, allowing large groups to stay close while still enjoying the privacy of separate homes. Each cottage features its own fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living spaces, Smart TVs, washer and dryer, outdoor grill, and family-friendly amenities. Guests also enjoy access to two private hot tubs and a game shed for added entertainment.

We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $375 per stay. A maximum of 2 dogs (50 lbs each) are allowed per cottage (so 6 pets total!). Please let us know if you are bringing your furry friends so we can prepare pet amenities before your arrival. Guests are responsible for any pet-related damages, and pets must remain leashed when outside the backyard areas.

Please Note: Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM, and unauthorized parties or events are not permitted to ensure a peaceful neighborhood environment.

Astra Cottage (1 Bathroom)
• First-floor bathroom with walk-in shower.

Luna Cottage (1 Bathroom)
• First-floor bathroom with walk-in shower.

Fresh towels and essential toiletries are provided in all bathrooms!

Hot Tub Access: The hot tub is available for guest use—please enjoy it responsibly and at your own risk. All posted rules must be followed at all times. Failure to follow hot tub guidelines that results in misuse requiring draining, cleaning, and refilling will incur a $325 service fee per hot tub.

☆☆ PARKING ☆☆
On-site parking is available across the property, including 4 to 5 outdoor parking spaces.

The garage is currently unavailable for guest use. Parking is available on the left side of the garage and can accommodate up to three vehicles:

- 2 vehicles may be parked side-by-side on the left side of the garage.
- 1 additional vehicle may be parked parallel to the garage.

And another 2 designated outdoor spaces behind the houses.

Street parking may be available on E. 8th St.—be sure to follow all posted signage and avoid areas marked with “No Parking.” Please note that overnight street parking is restricted by city ordinance during certain months.

You may also consider using the Hardy Parking Structure Garage (303 E State St, Traverse City) or Old Town Parking Structure (125 E Eighth St, Traverse City)

☆☆Accidents Happen — We’ve Got You Covered☆☆
We understand that sometimes small accidents happen while traveling. That’s why your booking includes a $750 accidental damage waiver, built directly into your stay.

If something minor gets damaged during your visit, please let us know right away. We’ll take care of it so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Please note: The waiver applies to accidental damage only and does not cover intentional damage, missing items, rule violations, or excessive mess.

- Check-in/out: Early check-ins and late check-outs are available by request, subject to availability, and may incur an additional fee.

- Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.

- Payment & Cancellations: Please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund and a free cancellation, a credit card processing fee will be deducted. Full payment is taken upon booking.

*Please note that violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties.

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times.

Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.

Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house.

Visitors & Noise: No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 20 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.

Pets: Dogs are permitted in the house. Please declare your pets to us ahead of checking in and settle any pet related fees. Pet fees are $375 up to 6 pets. Please clean up after your fur friends and use the provided retired towels to clean your dogs. Please do not let your dogs venture into the neighbor’s yards during their walks.

Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.

We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.

Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property (per owner’s approval). Owner has the right to ask guest(s) to leave the property if these rules are violated. If legal action is taken against guest(s), the at fault party will be responsible for all law suits/lawyer fees. Any violation of these rules could result in you being charged your security deposit and/or legal action taken. Call 911 if there is an emergency and then call the host.
