"The property is located right along Lake Superior and each room has a balcony that overlooks the lake. The property is somewhat older, but the owners are doing a lot of repairs. Our check-in was smooth and quick, the staff was very friendly, and coffee/hot chocolate/hot cider were available all day in a very nice sitting area. Although you have to drive to anyplace to eat, the location was close enough to towns that it wasn't a big issue. We also love Tofte and Grand Marais, so both were easy visits."

"Our group of 4 have been going up to the North Shore for over 25 years. Staying at Loon Lodge was a great place to stay. We literally only needed to bring clothes and food for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed--spices, etc. The view was outstanding as Lake Superior was outside of the kitchen/living room as well as the master bedroom. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend Loon Lodge."

Kids love to play tennis and pool in the clean cozy common area. It's definitely the great addition in case of bad weather. Planning to come back to spend snow days in Lake Superior area."
