We opted for a classic double room and (unlike other standard double rooms I’ve stayed in, where you can barely move around the bed) it was a great sized room with a huge bed. „lovely period building / very Emily Brontë :-) Owners were very helpful and the rooms pleasant. Parking is a little convoluted as you have to go to the house collect the parking voucher and return to the car and do the same on departure but the car park is only a few minutes walk away. “

The hotel could use a lick of paint here ant there and you see that the owners do their best, but the castle is very large and surely there is much to do. „Leider super schlechter Service, keine Reinigung zwischen den Tagen, Personal unfähig. Wir mussten beim Auschecken ewig warten, obwohl alles bezahlt war, da die Dame dies nicht fand - man kam sich sehr doof vor. Alles super alt und in die Jahre gekommen, Badtür lässt sich nicht schließen, ….“

„A little tucked away - so be aware not to drive by it quickly on the A55. Staff were excellent and the Burger King next door was great - the food was yummy (better than other BK's I've been too). Ideal location for onward trips to North Wales“
