„Cabin was clean and the water was beautiful! “

„There might be several reasons to stay at the Rack Shack. Ours was the location, not far from Fallingwater which we visited the following morning. Also, the modest price for an entire cabin was appreciated. Visiting from northern Maine we were right at home with the antlers and taxidermy. And if you look past the furry decor you'll see that the building is far from a shack....it's finished nicely, all buttoned up, clean and comfy. Quite secluded, with nice a outdoor area, along a dirt ...

„After a long wet day in the rail trail; the heat, electric heater (fireplace) and laundry facilities help to escape the wetness of the day. You do not want to ride a bike to the house, the road was horrible. But once was arrived by a shuttle we found in town. The house was just great. “

The only iffy part of the experience was that the water left a bit of a residue, almost like the soap never fully rinsed off when washing your hands. Not really a complaint but if anyone else stays and experiences this know it’s likely just a water softener and not something gross or scary. “

„We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. “
