Summary:
Villa Catalina 8 in Potrero is a 3-bedroom, 2-story condo with amazing ocean views and an infinity pool, and it’s a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The Space:
Of the three bedrooms, two have ocean views, balconies and en-suite baths. There are two king beds and two twin beds that can be pushed together. All bedrooms have TVs, and you can hear the ocean waves from your bed. There’s also a sleeper sofa.

The home has 3.5 bathrooms and three showers, with an ocean-view double shower in the master bedroom.

This home features brand-new, high-end furniture and modern decor with unique art. There are incredible ocean views from multiple windows and three access doors to ocean-view balconies. The living room has a 100-inch high-definition projector screen TV with surround sound, and there’s air-conditioning and wi-fi.

In the kitchen, you’ll find brand-new cabinets and appliances including a Bosch oven, high-speed oven and microwave, dishwasher, wine cooler and induction cooktop with downdraft in the island. The breakfast bar seats six, and the large, rectangular, custom wood dining table seats 10.

There are three terraces, two on the second floor and one on the first that is accessible from both lower bedrooms. Upstairs, the main terrace has an outdoor bar and dining table that seats six, with a built-in propane barbeque.

The shared infinity pool has amazing views, a jet tub, pool furniture, propane barbeque, showers and washrooms.

This 2-story home offers ground-floor access along with an enclosed garage with automatic garage door and code-controlled access. This is a gated property with 24/7 guarded security, and the condo has its own alarm system, along with two personal code/key safes.

There’s a brand-new, stacking Samsung washer/dryer, and maid service is available.

The property generally does not allow animals or pets, this includes service and emotional support animals. For detailed information, please refer to the booking policy and/or house rules.

Pet-friendly policy

We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.

The Neighborhood:
Potrero is one of our favorite towns in this region — centrally located, close to everywhere you want to be, and offering a mix of high-end tourism accommodations and traditional Costa Rican living.

There are three beaches very close (Potrero, Penca and Prieta), and a string of other beaches a short drive away. The brand-new Marina Flamingo nearby offers boating, fishing, scuba diving, sunset cruises and high-end shopping and dining.

Getting Around:
Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.

We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.

Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour. Our information brochure will provide you with useful information on local transportation options and points of interest, as well as contact information for taxis and shuttles.

The condo is beautiful and very clean . It has wonderful views. The beds and furniture are all comfortable. It’s close to restaurants and grocery stores. The roof was being repaired the week we were there which was extremely noisy but the owners did give us a 50 % discount on our stay which was fair.The stove is very difficult to work. You may want to leave directions on how to use it. The local hosts were not very responsive. We told them water was coming down from the dinning room a/c unit which we shut off. We also mentioned that the front door doesn’t open properly and that there was a hole in the ceiling from the roofers. We had to physically go to their office to get a reply about the roof situation. Having had a home on VRBO in the Canadian Rockies I know all about the issues that can arise. I just thought you should know about their service. Your condo is just lovely !!!

Beautiful condo and great location

The condo was beautiful - just like in the pictures - clean, very comfortable beds, spacious, well equipped. It had amazing views and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the deck each night. You can hear the ocean from the bedrooms and decks! The pool was so nice with comfortable lounge chairs, sunshades, the grill and bathrooms and also fantastic views. Within walking distance to two great beaches - long beaches, not crowded, excellent waves - we never wanted to leave the beach! If you're renting a car and driving around, we found WAZE worked best for directions. It's hard to find the condo complex you're first time - it has a small sign and there is a guardhouse and gate across the entrance. We missed it and later realized WAZE would have probably gotten us there. Juan Diego and Marisol from Special Places were extremely helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. If you're arriving later in the day/evening, I recommend having Special Places stock the kitchen with some staples. Juan Diego had many great recommendations of activities and restaurants that we truly enjoyed! We will definitely return!
