Excellent Cottage in ideal spot for the Ironbridge area.

Clean and comfortable with splendid welcome pack from the owner. Could not be better placed for seeing the Ironbridge World Heritage area.

Exploring Ironbridge

Had a lovely weekend staying at Blackbird Cottage. The perfect base to explore Ironbridge Gorge and all it has to offer. Jenny was a very helpful host and the cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.

Comfy Coalport cottage

Great house in a lovely location. We had a very nice short break, making use of the proximity to Blists Hill, cycle trails and Ironbridge. Some good pubs too. The bathroom would be even better if it had a shaver socket but that's a minor point and overall the house was excellent.

Ideal location for walking and visiting local attractions

We only stayed two nights and it was ideal for us as we wanted to visit Ironbridge and museums on the doorstep without needing to take the car. Places to eat very close and the only place we needed to drive to was a supermarket to get essentials.

A perfect stay

Two friends and myself stayed for four nights. Blackbird Cottage is ideally placed for walking, both to sites of interest, and also the local pubs, and the cottage itself couldn't be faulted. Everything you can think of, was there and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. Thanks, Jenny, for your attention to detail and also booking us in for meal at the pub!!

Lovely holiday cottage

Well equipped cottage in a fascinating area

This was the perfect week for us. The cottage was well laid out and equipped for a couple, with easy parking. Jenny the host provided many useful extras, including all detergents and a bowl of fresh fruit. (Our only 'miss' was a dishwasher - much more useful than a freezer.) The area is outstanding, with interesting walks along the river Severn as well as the excellent industrial museums. Mention should also be made of the numerous excellent pubs. The local towns of Bridgnorth and Bewdley are also well worth a visit, let alone Ironbridge of course. We are recommending the area to family and friends; it makes a wonderful change from the coast!

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights, whilst visiting David Austin's roses, and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Blackbird Cottage. Jenny was so helpful and friendly. Wonderful welcome pack, thank you Jenny. As 2 senior and well upholstered ladies we both truly appreciated the comfortable armchairs. So often I find the seating too low and too squishy, totally unsuitable for the less able among us but these were brilliant. Just what we needed, plus comfortable beds and it's very peaceful. With so much to do and see I'm sure we will return. Thank you.

Homely and clean, with a friendly host; a great location for exploring the Ironbridge gorge area

4 people staying - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Blackbird cottage was a fantastic base for exploring the local area. It was peaceful and well located for museums and walking / cycling trails. The facilities in the house are good and it is well decorated and comfortable. One slight downside in the kitchen is that the table does need to be pulled out from behind the door if you want to use it. Jenny was very friendly and handily next door for any questions. We loved the whole area and did not have enough time to explore everything in our few days there. The YHA opposite the property in Coalport does a very good cooked breakfast (book in advance) and there are also a few pubs a short walk from the property.

Nice cottage, great location

Plenty of decent pubs to eat within walking distance. Close to all of the museums we were interested in. It was even easy enough to pop into Telford one evening. Portions at the Shakespeare Inn were insanely large though. Definitely skip starters if you're eating there!

Wonderful stay at Blackbird Cottage

My wife and I and our two small kids spent three nights at Jenny's cottage. The place is very clean and brand new. Every detail is thought of. It's very close to the museums and Ironbridge. Jenny was there to greet us and kept it short and sweet. We would come back again to Blackbird Cottage and Ironbridge to keep exploring this hidden gem of an area. Thank you Jenny!

Clean, comfortable and in a great location

Blackbird Cottage was perfect, a good location and just right to sleep 3 friends. Jenny was a very accommodating host, and the house had all the essentials (milk, tea and coffee, even washing capsules for the washing machine!). We wouldn't hesitate to book Blackbird Cottage again next time we come back to the area.

Magical few days.

My husband, grandson and myself had the loveliest time at Blackbird cottage. Jenny has done a terrific job in providing a spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable holiday home. Newly renovated cottage - walk to most Ironbridge Museums

Jenny has done a tasteful renovation of this nicely appointed and equipped cottage. We stayed for three nights during a visit from Canada and walked to most of the Ironbridge museums while leaving the car in the private parking space. There are many quiet and peaceful interconnecting trails preventing the need for walking on roads which are narrow. We were honored to be Jenny's first guests and she reacted very quickly to a few requests we had. The cottage is private, quiet and compact but still gives a feeling of space - it was ideal for the two of us. We had a great lunch by the river at the Half Moon Inn, just a short walk away. I can't say enough about how perfect the location is for visiting all the attractions of Ironbridge.
