„Wonderful location. A large wooded private property with its own private lake. Only one other cabin apart from this one. Complete silence surrounded by the leafy canopy of tall trees...heaven! Its like like staying in your own private Provincial Park. That is the glam part. The camp part means that there is no electricity, no plumbing and no wi-fi. But then who needs those urban comforts? Isnt the idea to escape from them for while? I certainly learned to appreciate every drop of water we used ...

„Upon arrival we found dead bugs on the inside of the cottage likely from windows being left open. Septic tank was beyond full which meant the toilets backed up/flooded and flooded into the shower. Owner had a septic guy come out to empty the tank but the pipes must've been so far gone because of the full septic tank that the issues continued even after the septic tank was empty. „Property host was quick to communicate during booking and check in process. Property manager/cleaner is right next door for any issues and to give local recommendations. Area is quiet and the layout of the house made sure all relatives had a comfortable place to sleep. Take the canoe or kayaks onto the water and explore the lake. There is a town market on Saturdays which was a bonus as well as some quick bites to eat just a few minutes away. “

„The property is stunning. The dock onto the river is breath taking. Bit steep if you dont have great mobility, but was perfect for us. Beds were both queen size and comfy. The futon was not the most comfortable but perfect for lying on and enjoying the fireplace. Kitchen was fully stocked and had a drinking water spout. Host was extremely kind and responsive when needed. My partner and I had an amazing experience here and looking forward to coming again.“

In the end I did get my cottage but it did cause me no small amount of angst. - There were a limited number of pots for cooking; be ready to adapt (I used the BBQ a lot)- The microwave did not work - The floors were ...
