„Great little find, cheap and easy to access. Stayed here for 1 night while working and visiting family. Arrived late and Kevin texted me the details regarding self check-in. Clean, comfortable and the coffee is greatly appreciated. Only downside is the bathroom being so far away but considering I was there less than 12 hours I can't really argue. I will be staying here again. “

„Peaceful location. From the moment we arrived the hostess, Jo, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The room was clean with good facilities and refreshments. The property is conveniently located for visiting Alton Towers (less than a 10min drive). Would strongly recommend a stay at The Beehive Guest House if visiting the area.“

„Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Peter empfangen. Unser Zimmer war in einem separaten Gebäude, nett gemacht, groß und sauber. Der Hauseigene Garten ist eine Wohlfühloase. Morgens bekamen wir ein tolles Frühstück nach Wunsch serviert. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend. Und wer sich in dieses Örtchen verirrt, hat es zu Alton Towers nicht weit. Essensmöglichkeiten gibt es in Gehweite.“

„Unable to be checked-in anytime after 4 p.m. when I arrived there. And also told by others who live there (not the owner) that my room will not have an en-suite bathroom either. “

„At first entry the property absolutely reaked of stale spices, I assumed somebody had just cooked but the smell remained until I left. My room at the front of the house was fine. A little bit dirty in places. The real nightmare was the bathroom. After walking through the kitchen which was dirty, full of dirty dishes, unswept/mopped for weeks and lacking supplies, I found 2 full binbags inside by the back door and then went to the bathroom. It was filthy. The bath with weeks worth or black hair ...

„Booked a one night stay to extend another hotel stay close by so we could do the Churnet Valley rail trip. Had a comfortable stay, everything very clean & comfortable. Was a little disconcerted to find we were actually staying in the house with the owner, an unknown experience for us. Julie was very friendly & helpful. Really appreciated the cold bottles of water we were given and the brunch bar.“
