„A great place to rest our heads after a long day of hiking! The Glad Cottage was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog, though keep in mind it is tiny! It was clean, the kitchen was modern, and the cabin itself was cozy and welcoming. We had our own fire pit and deck which was a great bonus, plus lots of space to walk our dog.“

„Really quiet area and the room had all the amenities. Kitchen, 2 balconies, TV, Wifi and a really good bathroom! We enjoyed the view best of all, both in day and at night. There was plenty of stars at night and a nice forest behind us. This is our first time so we’ll definitely come back!“

„This property is a very pet friendly cottage in the woods by a stream. It was a very relaxing week away. Dana was very accommodating and a good communicator. We took advantage of all the things to do in the area, Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River State Park and Luray Caverns. We even took walks along the stream. We loved it!“

„This property was one of the best we have stayed at. It was everything we needed, the bedroom and bathroom luxurious. The kitchen area was the perfect size, stocked with a choice of coffees, teas and snacks. It’s perfectly located to go to the many wineries, restaurants and shopping in the area, It is an easy drive into Charlottesville. Our hostess was great, texting to check if we needed anything. I highly recommend a stay here.“

„The drive up to the lodge was beautiful. We passed the chickens and goats on the way. The grounds are vast, creating a quiet, enchanting atmosphere. We were reserved for a 2nd floor room but requested a change to 1st floor after we arrived. The office was closed but there was an after hours number we could call. "My stay at the hotel was okay overall. The room looked clean at first glance, but there was a very unpleasant, musty smell that reminded me of mold. Although the room appeared tidy, the odor made the stay uncomfortable. The hallway floors were also quite dirty, which left a poor impression. On a positive note, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They really tried to make the stay better. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during my visit, which was disappointing. Overall, it was an average experience: friendly staff but issues with cleanliness and maintenance. "
