The Space:

The moment you step through the door you are welcomed into a restful lounge where light moves softly across exposed beams and natural textures enhanced by hand selected furnishings. A striking stone chimney with a wood burner anchors the room and creates a warm and inviting space for quiet moments or evenings spent unwinding.



To the right of the living space is a contemporary kitchen that looks out over the garden and the surrounding countryside. It is fully equipped for both simple breakfasts and leisurely dinners. Guests will find a Nespresso machine and indulgent Bamford hand soap and lotion that elevate the everyday.



On the opposite side a snug dining area is tucked just off the lounge offering the perfect spot for meals or morning coffee.

A beautifully textured stone wall frames the staircase which leads to the first floor. The bathroom is serene and modern with a roll top bath that invites long restorative soaks.



The master bedroom is dressed in calming green and warm orange tones with a graceful feature bed that brings a sense of quiet luxury. The second bedroom is a gentle pastel green with a cosy double bed and a dressing space that feels peaceful and private.



Outside the stone garden opens to views of the surrounding landscape. A private seating area provides a lovely place to relax throughout the day and the wood fired hot tub is a standout feature especially at sunset or beneath the night sky.

Guests can enjoy gentle walks directly from the cottage, explore the village’s heritage sites or visit the welcoming local pub. Enjoy a picturesque walk into Stamford along the scenic Jurassic Trail. Step straight from the cottage into open fields and follow the public footpath all the way into town, around a 30-minute walk. Your furry friends will love it.

A short drive away lies Stamford, regarded as one of England’s finest Georgian market towns. Its graceful streets are lined with independent shops, artisan bakeries, art galleries, antique dealers and acclaimed restaurants. The River Welland runs through the town creating a picturesque setting for riverside strolls. The renowned Burghley House sits on Stamford’s edge and offers an exceptional day out with its sweeping parkland, sculpture gardens and rich architectural history.



Further afield Rutland Water provides opportunities for sailing, scenic cycling routes, paddleboarding and wildlife encounters. The surrounding villages are dotted with charming country inns and hidden cafés that make for memorable excursions.

Transport links are excellent. Stamford Station provides regular services to Peterborough where guests can connect to fast trains to London and destinations across the country. The nearby A1 ensures that Olive Cottage remains wonderfully accessible while still feeling beautifully secluded.
