What seemed like a great place online quickly turned into a disappointing and frustrating experience.A few hours before arrival, I received a message clearly meant for someone else ("Hello Eliza..."), informing me I'd been moved to another room. This raised several red flags:Who is Eliza? I had to ask the host if the message was even meant for me.No consent or options given. I wasn’t asked if I was okay with being moved, nor was I offered a refund or alternative if I wasn’t.No transparency. I wasn’t shown any pictures of the new room or given details to make an informed decision.I tried to stay positive since it was only for one night after a family event—but I was sadly mistaken.Upon arrival, the room was not clean (I have photos to support this):-Hair in the sink-Hair in the shower-Hair on the bathroom counter-Hair on the comforter I was expected to sleep onMost concerning of all: the deadbolt on the door didn’t work, meaning I couldn’t lock the door since the bolt wouldn't go into the slot. I messaged the host, Maria, immediately—but received no response ever (I have screenshots the show this). As a woman staying alone, this made me feel extremely unsafe. It’s hard to believe this was a new issue; it felt more like neglect. I even messaged when I left and still received silence.Bottom line: Do not book here—between the miscommunication, lack of cleanliness, and complete disregard for guest safety, this stay was unacceptable.
