Awesome Place -> Great Location

Really nice place that is equipped with everything you need for a 2 week stay. Location is central close to downtown, airport, harbor and TransCanada highway. Elegant furnishings, clean and felt at home. Highly recommend it :)

Comfortable Unique Stay

We loved our stay at this location. It was walking distance to downtown St. John's, Bannerman park, Sobeys, and beautiful walking trails. The home is very well laid out, the rooms inviting with many interesting antique pieces of furniture and a full bar cabinet with any glass wear you need for your refreshments. The kitchen and additional supplies were that of a chef. We had every dish or utensil we required. Bedrooms were roomy, tv's in every room, books for your reading pleasure, games for adults and children, plus a deck with a BBQ that allowed relaxing and cooking meals. The owner was very quick to respond to every question or inquiry we had. They were very helpful in assisting us. This home made our visit with our Polish and Newfoundland families very comfortable and pleasant. Our party had 4 adults and 2 children. Great place to stay and we hope to be back again. Thank you!

Thoroughly enjoyed !

This review is based on my group - 4 retirees. It was very nice to have the house to ourselves until we realized there was a tenant in the basement ( although I had a vague recollection of someone else mentioning it ). We worried about making too much noise. There are a couple things to point out for future renters — - no air conditioning & the third bedroom ( twin beds) has no ceiling fan. We were in a heat wave, with little breeze so a bit “close”. - the main bathroom has no vanity or shelving for your toiletries. Could also use a safety bar in the shower. - the stairs to the second floor was a little awkward hauling up suitcases as the “bannister” is a half wall & switches sides halfway up. - there was plenty of towels, tea towels, etc. - the kitchen was very well stocked with appliances, pots, pans, dishes, mugs, etc. - The house is about half between the airport & downtown so convenient but you really need a car to get around. - Bill Doyle was a great host, responding promptly to any of our inquiries. On the whole - we had a wonderful holiday & all want to return to Newfoundland to explore further.

Perfect location for visiting St. John’s and surrounding area!

This beautiful house was perfect for our time in St. John’s! As a family of 6 adults we were very comfortable during our stay! It’s location is close to downtown as well as the airport. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen was impressive has it contained every type of cooking implement you need for preparing a meal. We loved having the use of a patio and BBQ. William Doyle is a fantastic host and I highly recommend him and his beautiful home for your stay in St. John’s!

Such a great holiday home.

We had such a lovely time at Bills house. It’s very well supplied with everything you could possibly need while staying there. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The property is spotlessly clean. Thank you for making our first stay in St Johns such a special time.

Great location

Staying in a home full of family history and Newfoundland history was wonderful. A fully equipped kitchen, comfortable accommodations and the piano made it easy to entertain local friends and family. It’s proximity to downtown, the university and shopping was also a plus. The bbq was a disappointment but lobster is boiled in Newfoundland. We would stay again.

Perfect for us!

Lee-Anne   How is this   September 10, 2019   VBRO – 100 Portugal Cove Rd S., St. John’s NL   Two friends and I had the pleasure of spending four days at this location.  We found the house on the VBRO website and it was everything the description said it was.  A three bedroom, one and ½ bath with full kitchen, beautifully decorated, it was exactly what we wanted.  It was centrally located, close to the airport as well as many of the local attractions, we joked that it was 7 minutes away from everything we wanted to see.  As this was the first time we used VBRO we did not know what to expect, so glad we did as had such a wonderful experience.  I unexpectedly arrived on crutches and had no problem getting around the house! We would like to thank our hosts for a great stay, it truly felt like home.

St. John's, Newfoundland Home

This home was lovely. We immediately felt comfortable. As there were only two of us, we had space galore! Every thing one might need was available to us - from towels, cooking utensils (part of our holiday was not to cook - but we saw everything!!), one and a half baths, laundry, TVs with access to shows or Netflix, a barbeque, lawnchairs and parking! The home location was fabulous - we were minutes from just about anywhere downtown (of course getting the 'gist' of the streets might of made our trips a little longer...) I would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend this home to anyone travelling to St. John's Newfoundland! Many thanks!

Loved this house. . .

3 couples spent 10 days at this beautiful home and found that it came with everything we needed. Perfect location being close to the airport, downtown, grocery stores, etc. Comfy beds and couldn’t believe how soundproof the rooms are. And, not to be negative, our only suggestion would be for window covering for the bedroom with the single beds. Other than that would highly recommend this place and will definitely be recommending to our friends! Thanks for making our trip to NL a memorable one 💕❤️💕

Great house and great location

We really enjoyed our stay in this large, spacious house. It is very comfortable, clean and includes all the amenities you need for a very enjoyable stay. The central location is perfect for getting around St. John's and the owner is very considerate and quick to respond to any communication. I would definitely rent this property again.
