„What a wonderful gem!
The accommodation is as lovely as the pictures show. Very clean and spacious and has everything you need including some outdoor space. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and it’s one of our favourite properties to date.
The location is absolutely superb. Lovely trail walk to the coastal trail but secluded enough that it’s quiet and private. There’s a trail across the fields to get to a great little pub with excellent food.

„The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. “

„Incredibly designed and kitted out modern Shepherds Hut. Spotlessly clean, stunning view watching the sunsets, with a medium short walk to a beach for an even more incredible sunset. „Ideal base for visiting this lovely part of Cornwall. We particularly enjoyed Tremenheere Gardens and St Ives. Penlee House is also well worth a visit, and Tanglewood is a tranquil haven if you enjoy a quirky and less manicured garden. Cottage hosts are on site and very welcoming and helpful.“

„The location of this property was nice, we loved the hot tub and the open space around the hut. The Star pub down the road was great and the Spar supermarket was handy. Unfortunately there were several things that detracted from this stay. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, you could feel every spring through the mattress- we even tried flipping the mattress to see if this helped (it didn't help, and revealed a stain). In the end I slept on top of a couple of thick fleece jumpers so I couldn't ...

„Pedney Shepherd's Hut is located about 50 yards off the A30, around 6 minutes drive from the centre of Newlyn. It is set back from the road up a few steep steps which led into s semi-tropical small garden. Occasionally some traffic noise can be heard, but it didn't disturb me and I'm quite sensitive to traffic noise.

„I liked this apartment very much. Everything I could possibly want or need was provided. The view, particularly from the bay window, was wonderful.
The steep steps up were a bit disconcerting but I got used to them and the apartment was definitely worth the steep climb.
Unfortunately there was no internet access (an EE issue I gather). Also the kettle didn’t work. I just used a saucepan.“

"Das Queens Hotel liegt direkt an der Promenade und bietet eine schöne Lage am Meer. Bis ins Stadtzentrum von Penzance läuft man etwa zehn Minuten. Beim Check-in wurde uns direkt mitgeteilt, dass unser Zimmer aufgrund von Personalmangel während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt werden würde. Die offene Kommunikation war zwar gut, dennoch ist das bei einem Hotelaufenthalt ein klarer Minuspunkt. Außerdem muss man bereits beim Einchecken eine feste Frühstückszeit angeben. Das wirkt etwas unflexibel, zumal man im Urlaub nicht unbedingt schon bei der Anreise planen möchte, wann man am nächsten Morgen frühstücken will. Das Frühstück wird überwiegend à la carte bestellt, daher fällt das Buffet eher klein aus. Die Auswahl der Frühstücksgerichte ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung. Bei einigen Varianten gehört Sauce Hollandaise dazu – das ist sicherlich nicht jedermanns Geschmack. Das Hotel ist insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen; stellenweise fühlt man sich eher in die 1960er-Jahre zurückversetzt. Das muss man mögen. Gleichzeitig erschließt sich der besondere, etwas nostalgische Charme des Hauses mit jedem weiteren Tag mehr. Insgesamt ein Hotel mit eigenem Charakter, bei dem man beim Service und bei der modernen Ausstattung jedoch Abstriche machen muss."

"Ein wunderschönes altes Schloss. Alles ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber hat auf jeden Fall Charme. Der Park und der Wall Garden sind ein Traum. Der Blick auf St. Ives ist wohl der schönste den man sich vorstellen kann. Zu Fuß etwa 15 Minuten ins Zentrum. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, das Bett ist mit 140 cm etwas zu schmal für 2 Personen. Das Frühstück ist im englischen Stil gehalten. Viel warmes Essen. Kaum Wurst und Käse. Keine Semmeln."
