„Parking right at the door was convenient when we arrived after dark. All the rooms had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Plenty of outlets for charging etc. Great view of the river from indoors. Sliding door opens to deck with steps down to the yard and right down to the water. Very quiet neighborhood. “

„The name is spot on - hideaway. Our family enjoyed a week here. So wonderful to get back to nature! Will book again for sure. The home is well appointed. The bug and sun sprays at the exits were wonderful as we forgot ours. The only thing I wished I had done was look to see what brand the king mattress in the downstairs was. I hadn't slept so good in yearsyears. “

„This is a great place with a beautiful view! It has everything you need for cooking and serving! The place was very clean and neat. The young people loved the pool. The only problem we had was several hornets nests, which caused three little kids to get stung. We bought spray and sprayed the nests.“

„Tony was very responsive at communications and wonderful (remote) host! The home is secluded, clean, and so much space inside it's crazy! „We enjoyed this lovely home with a lot of charm! The pioneer owner’s story on the wall was fun to read, too. The location was great and was easy to walk to shops and the one restaurant that was open this time of year. The beds were firm but comfortable and I slept great! The one bathroom was a little tough but we knew that ahead of time so it was ok! It was a nice touch to have body wash, shampoo, dish soap, paper towels, food seasonings, etc supplied. „We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.“
