Totally misleading description and photos
We didn't get the door code until we arrived and called the owner, who was pleasant enough. Once we entered, though, we found dirty laundry all over the uncomfortable old sofa which sinks down when one sits down; a hideous "dining" table with paint peeling off all over it; walls and ceilings that should have been repainted long ago; several broken venitian blinds, which didn't cover windows; no towels or bed sheets at all; no hairdryer, iron or ironing board; no instructions at all about how to use the TV, A/C unit and wall light switches, most of which do not work; not a single light in the kitchen; nor any other overhead lights, except in the bathroom. Now, a few of these omissions appear in the online description, which I just reread. But the wording and photos in the VRBO listing were/are often so bad that we just skipped over some of them, since we had NEVER rented anywhere in the world where such essential items were absent. The TV guide also contained none of the stations one might expect: CNN, MSNBC, not even Fox news. Too, the queen bed is so uncomfortable that I had to sleep in the bunk bed while my wife slept on the sheet-less master bed, which dips in the middle when two people lie down. Finally, understand that this is the WORST rental review I've ever written. It is the FIRST time we've ever been so upset with VRBO. So, PLEASE consider reimbursing some of the $500 we spent on this place, which isn't worth even half that amount. Thanks.
