Would have been 4 stars. I reserved for 2 nights. When I arrived, my room did not have AC and the site said the place had AC. Turns out only about 3 units have AC but the host, Cody, couldn't list all options on VRBO site. I was traveling alone so he gave me another room that had AC and one Q bed (vs 2), I really appreciated Cody's flexibility. The place was clean with a kitchenette: sink (w-sponge, dish soap and towel), fridge/freezer, microwave, silverware, bowls, cups, plates and a couple of pans for the small stove top. In the smaller room I moved to, it had a plug-in hot plate. Both rooms had a small table w chairs in the kitchen area.The place is dog-friendly, I was worried because I'm allergic to dogs. But I didn't suffer any adverse reaction, maybe cuz no carpets?First night was fine. Bed was comfortable, outlet near the bed for my phone and there was a ceiling fan. Unfortunately, the 2nd night was terrible, not the fault of management. Rule book in the room says no noise after 10 p.m. Around midnight someone checked in on one side of me. Lots of door slamming and wall bumping, with high-pitched dog yips every 20 mins. The room on the other side started a party around 2:30 a.m. I finally called Cody at 4 a.m. and things finally settled down. Just know, thin walls and lots of activity in the parking lot.It's a typical Tahoe style lodge (Emerald Bay Lodge) with maybe 15-20 units. The layout of the rooms is a little odd and decor is Tahoe kitschy.
