You can look out the window in the morning and eat your breakfast and a great dock easy walk to fish and watch the river flow the my room had a overhead ceiling fan, which was awesome. „Great property and close to Tawas for shopping and Lake Huron. Beautiful sunsets. Loved having a washer and dryer. We were a little disappointed that the Sand Lake access wasn’t closer but it all worked out. We drove to Lake Huron and swam in the Great Lake. “

The one downside was that the place smelled of wet dogs, so a thorough cleaning was in order upon arrival, and unfortunately nothing could be done for the smell in the couch. „We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. „To no fault of the property owner, the cleaners had not cleaned or changed the sheets before our arrival. We had to call Evolve Travel, whi had to track down the owner. The owner was unable to get a hold of the cleaners, but was gracious enough to give us the code to the shed where clean sheets were kept. The floors were filthy!!! The top of the toilet tank was off because you had to jiggle the parts for it to flush correctly. The owner had obviosly bought all new sheets, towels,kitchen utensils ...

„Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. No internet, but that was a good thing, as it kept everyone off their phones.
