„A very good equipped house with a little garden. The small village of Mere is almost next to Stourhead House and Gardens. Even other attractions of the counties Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset are easy to reach. Our host Helen was very friendly with a lot of recomandations for activities.“

Again, everything was perfect and we love the location, providing excellent access to both towns, with a wonderful rural setting. The space is warm and cosy, with everything being thoughtfully provided for a self-catering stay. We will certainly be back!“

Despite the typical British weather the property’s location allowed us to explore the local area such as Cheddar Gorge and Wells. Would thoroughly recommend Berrow beach-quiet and dog friendly! „Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport“

„This is not the Ritz - but there are some really good points - it's lovely and quiet - so a good sleep was easy. Take your own towels - ones provided were not great - I would also say take your own bedding. One major for a couple is the double is on a mezz and the toilet is down stairs - this didn't effect me as I was on my own so slept in the single room downstairs. Owner is lovely - and my stay in Sherborne very nice. Lovely place.“

The property and house were spacious and comfortable, with more than enough supplies to set a table and serve sixteen family members multiple meals with ease. „Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. “

Ich hatte, obwohl ich eine günstigere Kategorie gebucht hatte, zum gleichen Preis ein noch schickeres Zimmer bekommen mit größerem Bad. Eine komfortable Dusche gab es einen Stock höher, die ich mir mit einem weiteren Gast gut teilen konnte. Der Ort selbst hat einen historischen Stadtkern mit Geschäften zur täglichen Versorgung und einem Geldautomaten.“
