„Positiv: Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und hat alles was man braucht um sich wohl zu fühlen. Auch in der Küche ist alles vorhanden. Die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten um etwas zu unternehmen. Negativ: Die Klimaanlage kühlt leider nur den unteren Stock und nicht die Schlafzimmer. Die Betten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Nachbar war recht unfreundlich und gegenüber Fremden nicht besonders offen. Der Zugang zum Fluss war leider zugewuchert.“

„This home is great for a large family gathering. We were 31 in total, so rented the cottage next door as well. Great location if you want to spend time in DC or in historic sites around the area. A few of us are horse enthusiasts, so we had plenty to enjoy as well. The indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable with plenty of seating. With so much table space available, we were able to keep the jigsaw puzzles rolling all week! “

„My family and I had an amazing time at this beautiful house. Lisa had thought of everything to make it feel like home. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make breakfast and other meals if we wanted. We loved the fresh duck eggs from Pansy and Petunia and the supplies for the s'mores. Such a sweet surprise. Lisa was so communicative and so kind to our whole family. My kids loved feeding the animals with her in the mornings. The porch had an amazing view and it was so ...

„Super clean. Very safe neighborhood. Huge house. Plenty of space, the deck is amazing! That’s pretty much where we spent most of our time. Kitchen is stocked with utensils, cups, etc and the house feels very homey and lived in. If you’re looking for a more extravagant experience then I don’t think this would be for you but for us, this was perfect. Dock has a picnic table on it and it was perfect to bring a cooler down while we floated away. No complaints! Oh, bring dvds if you need. I didn’t ...

„We are so happy that we picked the farmhouse as our home base for our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech this past May. Aunts and grandparents were extremely comfortable with their own rooms and en suites. Everyone had a place to relax between activities and didn't even have to leave the house for morning coffee. We had family meals each night and anything we needed was right there in the kitchen. We had a private chef cook for us one night and she was also impressed with the kitchen! ...

„We were having a family gathering in the mountains. We really appreciated this large home. This included five couples. Everyone had their own room. All beds were king or queen. There were several bathrooms, great kitchen, living and dining rooms for gathering. A grocery store was a very short drive away. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. Internet was reliable. Air conditioning worked well. There were three stories, but the stairs were no problem for us. We absolutely would stay here again. “

„This was the perfect place for our family to re-connect and unwind. The hosts thought of everything that guests might need. The home and surrounding property were stunning. We all spend ours sitting on the front porch reminiscing. Our family has already booked another stay here, and cannot wait to return!“

„We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!! It's remote enough in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains for peace & quiet but close enough to town (about 17 minute drive) to get to the grocery store, gas station, and very yummy Joe's Coffee Shack where I got a Caramel Machiatto everyday :) Definitely book this if you want to retreat and spend time alone or with ...
