Lindal Cedar Home am Wasser "The Getaway"

Unser Lindal Cedar Home "The Getaway" wird jetzt als Ferienwohnung angeboten.
Dieses Haus, bekannt als The Getaway, befindet sich in der Nähe unserer bekannten Ferienwohnung.
 "Das Versteck." Die beiden Häuser sind durch 300 Fuß dichten Wald getrennt und teilen sich die gleiche lange Auffahrt.
The Hideaway hat (64) Bewertungen mit (62) Five Star und (2) Four 4 Star.

In den nächsten sechs Monaten sind viele äußere und einige innere Verbesserungen geplant. Währenddessen wird The Getaway zu einem reduzierten Übernachtungspreis angeboten. Der Keller ist zu diesem Zeitpunkt geschlossen und wird höchstwahrscheinlich so bleiben. Die oberen zwei Stockwerke sind 2700 sf.
Sowohl Hideaway als auch Getaway verfügen über WLAN, Netflix und andere über das Internet zum Fernsehen. Bringen Sie Ihr Passwort für andere Unterhaltungsoptionen mit.

Mehr als 11 Hektar Wanderwege mit angrenzenden unbebauten Grundstücken.
620 Fuß Uferpromenade mit kilometerlangen Stränden, die Sie bei Ebbe erkunden können.
Lagerfeuergrube und Sitzplätze mit Blick auf den Strand. Austern und Muscheln sind auf den zwei Hektar großen Seitengebieten leicht erhältlich.

Sitzen in einer privaten Bucht am Puget Sound, mit herrlichem Blick aus jedem Fenster! Wildtiere gibt es zuhauf! Robben, Adler, Hirsche, Otter, Nerze, Fischspringen, die seltene Sichtung eines Wals! Diese wunderschöne und sehr private Umgebung ist perfekt zum Kajakfahren, Strandkämmen und Wandern, für viele Muscheln, Seesterne, Seeigel und Krabben bei Ebbe! Eine Feuerstelle befindet sich nur wenige Meter vom Wasser entfernt für Lagerfeuer oder Grillabende! Hideaway ist nur 18 Meilen nördlich von Olympia und 7 Meilen von Shelton in der Nähe von Arcadia Point. Haben wir schon erwähnt, wie friedlich es ist? Unbebaute Grundstücke umgeben das Hideaway, nur wenige Häuser liegen kilometerweit an keiner Uferpromenade. Es ist perfekt für Familienwochenenden, Girl Friend Getaways oder alle, die das Gefühl haben möchten, wirklich weg von allem zu sein. Das Anwesen ist über 9 Hektar große Zeder und Ahorn mit über 620 'Uferpromenade, ganzjährigem Bach und Flutbootstart. Strand Das Kämmen der Tidelands bei Ebbe ist ein Muss.

Große Küche mit Frühstücksinsel: Große Küche mit viel Platz in der Bar, um zu sitzen und dem Koch zuzusehen. Das Getaway verfügt über einen offenen Grundriss mit einem Wohnzimmer in der Mitte der Küche, des Esszimmers und des Wintergartens.

Die Fahrt zum Getaway:
Wenn Sie von Olympia kommen, nehmen Sie die Lynch Road von der 101, einer schönen 8-Meilen-Fahrt auf dem Land. Von Shelton aus nehmen Sie die Arcadia Road für 11 km. Dann biegen Sie in eine lange private Auffahrt ein. Der Baldachin aus Ahorn und Zeder lässt Sie sofort wissen, dass dies keine reguläre Vermietung ist. Die Auffahrt beginnt flach und zeigt dann bis zum Wasser. Wenn Sie am Strand kämmen, werden Sie nicht viele Häuser finden und die, die Sie tun, liegen direkt am Wasser, so dass Sie den Strand höchstwahrscheinlich für sich haben werden.

Gorgeous waterside respite

Lovely spacious place, well apportioned for cooking, on bounteous stretch of the peninsula waters. Eagles chattering, starfish and sea creatures everywhere, hermit crabs and life teeming in clean waters. Especially appreciated that all the equipment was there for real cooking. Taylor shellfish is also just up the road. Kids picked blackberries for a cobbler and enjoyed time together. Glorious stay!

Family Get Together.

If I could have planned the perfect family get together this was it. The host was fantastic to chat with and truly cared about our experience, the home was beautiful and well stocked with the essentials and so comfortable. The weather was in the 80's and beach combing was spectacular, we cooked out in the new covered outdoor patio area with our seafood boil some of which came from the beach just below the house. The large open concept living room, dining, kitchen, sunroom was perfect for family members to visit, and/or have quiet time. The three bedrooms were nice and 2 have sliding doors looking out at the water. The weather was perfect-sunshine no rain! Spent time at the water-fishing, beachcombing, swimming. I would rent again!!

Secluded and Serene

Bill's place is clearly well loved! We were very comfortable....The kitchen was easy to cook in and the table was the perfect size for our group of five to play games and have meals. There is plenty of room to spread out and the beds were all very comfortable. Perched on a hill overlooking the water, those with mobility issues might need a hand getting to the beach, or up the little slope into the house.

Quiet and cozy

Had a very nice stay at the Getaway property. It rained most of the time , but It was winter in Washington, so couldn't enjoy the water. Did hike around which was fun. The drive down to the house was a bit of an adventure, but we were driving 4x4s so it was no problem. Would love to return in the summer.

Living off the land

Our family had such a restful and peaceful vacation. The private water entry with a canoe and kayaks was fantastic. The water gets deep quickly, so little ones need to be careful. Bill supplied a few life jackets, the boats, supplies to harvest clams and oysters…the map showing where to harvest was fantastic. Fresh blackberries right on the side of the property. The TV has an HDMI cord that was easy for us to link into our favorite movies. All in all a really lovely, restful stay! Thank you, Bill!

Wonderful

My family of 3 stayed in the getaway while my brother's family stayed in the hideaway. We enjoyed watching the tides go in and out everyday, kayaking, the firepits and just hanging out. There was a little seal that played in front of the hideaway every evening. He was very entertaining to watch in the water. The house itself is comfortable, felt cozy like staying in your favorite aunties cabin. Plenty of pots pans and kitchen stuff. Having a W/D was awesome!! We did have an issue with the fridge, we lost all our cold groceries as it died overnight. Thank goodness family was in the lower house so we could still cook and eat at the property. Owner responded immediately to all calls and texts. He had a back up mini fridge delivered the next day. It held essentials like milk and coffee creamer. Would stay again.

Nothing but magic

We very much enjoyed our super quiet stay. The house had what we needed for an entire week and we had plenty of options from the grill to the kitchen, or the fire pit to cook. There are deer that love to hang out up by the house,band tons of sea life down by the shore to explore during different tides... Even seals and sea otters! We had access to kayaks and canoes, vehicle was a wonderful option for exploring the shore. Bill was very responsive if there was a question. This place was the perfect quite space for getting away from the city.

Enjoyed this place and fresh seafood was a big surprise!!

We had a wonderful time. The place was warm and inviting. We harvested a ton of fresh huge oysters and had a feast. It was fabulous. *This rental says sleeps 8 but was not clear about two persons having to sleep on an air mattress provided. It was comfortable and worked well though. The fridge water dispenser was leaking badly but owner contacted us immediately so we were able to do stop the leak and enjoy the stay. You can harvest mega oysters (and maybe clams) right down in front of the property. That was a blast. Finding a place to clean and remove them was a bit hard. You are not allowed to bring harvested seafood inside the home to clean or cook it. If not allowed to clean inside, you should have a place set up for that. We were only allowed to boil the seafood in a pot over a campfire pit. The pot was missing. The place has major maintenance issues that should be addressed. The outside of the property on one side has a lot of rotted or moldy wood so it is not as inviting as the picture when you first drive up. Between showers we had to wait to get hot water running again so turn up the temp on water heater. The back grill was filthy so we did not use that. The wood stove is not in working order. We started a fire in it and when trying to close it we found that the air intake lever was frozen and would not move, so if we closed it, the house filled up with smoke real fast. So we just had to put it out or leave doors open. The furnace has a maximum of 72 degrees and never actually heated the whole house at all. We had to keep a fire going to stay warm in fireplace. A working wood stove would have been nice. There is ample firewood on site but it is all wet. So bring lots of wood to start and keep fires going. We wanted to boil water for pasta and it never boiled until we put a lid on the pot. 20 mins. We also had a hard time getting oil hot enough to fry something. The stove is old and does not work well. It should be replaced. I would stay here again if maintenance issues are addressed. The owner was great to work with and VERY responsive. One last note: we stay in a lot of these. When trying to remember what the instructions were to cook food, use firewood or any other issues, we had to go back thru emails from owner and website to search for info. A great way to simply that process is to simply have a notebook with ALL instructions readily available onsite.

Sweeping water views and comfortable accommodations

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying in this house. It took full advantage of its waterfront position with huge windows on the mail floor and in the upper floor bedroom so there were lots of areas where you can watch the water while lying in the master bedroom, eating at the table, etc, and the house has lots of natural light. The rear-facing sunroom adds to the open feel. The property is private and gives access to waterfront and woodsy strolls as indicated in the listing. The kitchen has the usual rental-house supplies and there's enough couches and comfy chairs to accommodate the group. House wifi is good. When the furnace acted up on us the owner was helpful and responsive. We found it a very comfortable place to hang out and relax and I'd like to stay there again some time. The one critique I'd note is that although it shows on VRBO as a four bedroom house, it is actually a three bedroom house with an available queen size air mattress, so although it does have four beds, the fourth one is not going to be in its own room with a door that can shut - the choices are either the office area outside the master bedroom (an open loft) or the sunroom (a nice room but open to the main living area). It worked for my college-age daughter but it was clearly the inferior option compared to the actual bedrooms.

Another great stay at The Getaway

Although we spent most of our time at the Ridge Motorsports Park, we enjoy coming back to The Getaway in the evenings. Cooking dinner is easy with a well-stocked kitchen, and the surroundings are incredibly quiet so we can get a good night's rest. We'll be back.

Beautiful home, beautiful setting

Excellent! We saw so much wildlife - deer, bats, fish, crabs, and something doglike that was either a young coyote or a fox. There was a lot of evidence of clams under the sand, but we don't like shellfish so we didn't disturb any. We loved the beach and kayaking. If you plan to go out on the water, make sure you look up the tide tables. The change in water level is impressive! If you have kids under 5ish... It's a beautiful house with delicate collectible cars and coral on the shelves - best for kids who are old enough to understand look-but-don't-touch, otherwise it will take some effort to move everything to safety and replace them before leaving. We have a 5 year old and didn't need to shift anything, but be prepared for that depending on your kid's personality. The listing is slightly unclear about number of bedrooms - there are 3 bedrooms and a full size air mattress in a closet. The internet was good - fast enough for my kid to do his online science camp. Very minor negative: the driveway was a little tricky for our small compact car - steep gravel. Didn't get stuck, just scary the first time. Try not to arrive after dark the first time and you'll be fine. Overall, spectacular. Thank you for letting us stay.

Great water views/access

Liked the wooded environment along the water; currents had to be watched carefully to kayak from the site. House is great -- a lot of open space for 6 adults with 3 nice bedrooms. Well maintained and equipped for cooking, etc.

Lovely view, quiet area

The house was a great for us. Bill was a great host, he rushed to our rescue when the temperature hit 100+ and had an air conditioner delivered! Thank u Bill🤗 Deer and fawns came by daily and were never afraid of us.
