I had a very pleasant 3 night stay at the Dolphin Guesthouse. The location is great, especially if you are interested in the North Bay and Peasholm Park/Outdoor Theatre areas which are very close at hand. The room was very clean and well appointed with a comfy double bed and a small table and two chairs in a sitting area. There is a wardrobe with hangers and a dresser with tea/coffee making supplies and a kettle, as well as a nightstand with light and alarm clock and a collapsible suitcase stand. The bedding and towels were clean and high quality and the shower had good hot water and pressure. Note to North American visitors, you have to pull a ceiing chord to power the electric shower device. Quality Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash are provided. The owner, Gary is very helpful and friendly and the Full English Breakfast is top rate. Cereal, juices and hot/cold drinks are included. The only thing I would change the next time I stay would be to request a room on the 1st floor because I don’t tolerate the stairs the way I used to. All in all it was great value for money and I heartily recommend staying here. There are restaurants/cafes and delicious fish & chips within a 5 minute walk.
