Garden Level in Historic B&B on Famous Jones Street

Summary:
Placed perfectly on the west end of Jones Street where you will find some peace and quiet, sits our historic 1854 town home. As its name subtly gives away, the Jesse Mount House was, indeed built for Jesse Mount, a prominent Savannah businessman. The 4-story building was most recently converted to be a fully equipped 5 bedroom B&B. We are offering our extremely spacious garden level apartment for up to 4 people. With a stunning courtyard, 2 large bathrooms, and cozy fireplaces this tranquil setting is perfect for couples or friends looking for some much needed relaxation.

The Space:
Aside from the apartment itself offering plenty of space, the main bedroom offers a King bed with rocking chairs and a super cozy fireplace. The second room has a queen bed and private exit/entrance to Jones Street for those who like to sneak out for their own adventures :) The living large living or great room has a big L couch and plenty of space to hang out and lounge. In here we offer built in desk space, a card table and a Smart TV. We offer 2 huge bathrooms, both of which have a shower and tub, with the larger one offering a working Jacuzzi tub! The fully equipped kitchen has plenty of space to cook for those seeking longer stays and the breakfast nook is a perfect place to sit and read the paper in the early morning. Access to the pristine courtyard is just through the french doors in the kitchen.

Guest Access:
Aside from the entire garden level apartment being all yours, we do offer access to the washer/dryer if needed. it is straight across the courtyard into the carriage house. Give us a heads up if you plan to use this. You may use the courtyard at your leisure but be respectful of quiet hours as this part of the property is shared with the main house.

The Neighborhood:
This original cobblestone street really is the absolute prettiest in all of Savannah. We have had several movie scenes and dozens of wedding photos shot here. We are just a block over from Mrs. WIlkes Dining Room and two blocks from Crystal Beer Parlor. The famous Clary's Cafe is just a few blocks east and we are minutes from Broughton Street, River Street and Forsyth Park!

As you have probably heard, you are allowed to Drink n' Walk in Savannah! If you choose to walk around town with a drink (and I don't mean grape juice) then you will just need to put it in a "to-go" cup (can get these at any bar!) They do not allow you to walk around with disposable cans or bottles so be sure to use a plastic cup.

Getting Around:
Aside from being able to walk to everything, if you should need a ride, we suggest taking Uber/Lyft as parking can be a nightmare. There is also a FREE shuttle bus called The Dot that connects you all around town and it is just around the corner at Whitaker and Jones. This runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights!

Other Things to Note:
Be sure to bring your walking shoes! The historical nature of Savannah and its's breathtaking architecture also means lots of uneven surfaces around town! It's part of the fun :)

Interaction with Guests:
We are available to guests via mobile Monday-Friday 9am-9pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am-8pm. We don't live far so if you should need anything or have any issues, just let us know.

The location was wonderful and the accommodations were very good. We gave it 4 stars because the AC was lacking, and when we arrived, the internet wasn’t working. The next day the internet was fixed. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

The unit was very clean and spacious. It is situated in the southern part of the historic district, just a quick walk to Forsyth park and the green squares of Savannah. The unit is nicely decorated and has updated appliances etc. The only downside was the air conditioner wasn’t running, even when we set the thermostat down. Made for a couple stuffy nights, even with the fans blowing.

The property is in an excellent location on a beautiful tree lined street. Plenty of room for the four of us and decorated very tastefully. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful with surrounding plants and gardens.

The location is right on Jones Street in the beautifully renovated residential area near Savannah's famous Forsythe Park and numerous "green space" squares. Majestic live oak trees provide a majestic canopy as you stroll to past historic churches and homes on your way to restaurants nearby.

We loved this place! It was quirky, historic, functional, and comfortable. The location was great, too. The hop on hop off trolley tour conveniently picked us up with a shuttle bus just a block and a half away; after we finished that, we mostly travelled on foot. The suite was really well stocked with everything we needed. Our previous Vrbo had only a Kuerig coffeemaker but supplied not one coffee pod. (Yes - that cost a star.) This one has a dual coffeemaker that could accommodate either grounds or pods, and supplied plenty of both. Our host was really helpful and responsive, and we appreciated the tips we got for dining, etc. We had a truly outstanding meal at The Vault!This was truly a unique place to call home while we explored Savannah.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property or our hosts! We had a girl's weekend - my BFFs accompanied me to Savannah to support me as I completed my first marathon. The location, the comfort, the cleanliness - everything was top notch. Located on one of the most beautiful historic streets in Savannah, we enjoyed peace and quiet within walking distance to EVERYTHING! The beds were extremely comfortable (important when you need a good night's rest before craziness!!), and the showers were wonderful. The whole esthetic of the property was amazing - both chic and comfortable. It was so welcoming. Our hosts were extremely helpful and communicative, and I can't thank them enough for that. I highly recommend this property for your next Savannah visit - I know I'm looking forward to a return trip, and will time it to coincide with its availability.

Every aspect of our stay was smooth and easy. Any questions I had were answered immediately by Chase. We needed a short vacation and this rental was perfect. It is very clean and beautifully furnished. I loved having my tea in the garden. The location is perfect. We never used our vehicle and walked everywhere. We would book again in a heartbeat.

Property was in a nice location and quiet neighborhood. Good for enjoying the sites of Savannah but being able to rest at night and not be in a noisy area. It’s a good 20 min walk to River Street area but close to center of historic squares. This was an odd apartment since you enter into either of the two bedrooms. No main entrance. The place was a little worn and needs some repairs. Black dust mold would fly out of vents when we had AC on. Rained hard and water would pour through the top of the sliding door in the kitchen. One of the bedroom bath sinks was leaking. The tub had a hole by the drain and insects would come out during showers. Burn hole in the fitted sheets on one of the beds. Nice area and average quality but overpriced for the condition/state of the property.

Wonderful long weekend in Savannah, with this unit as headquarters for us to visit with our adult children and their spouses. Clean, comfy and spacious, and perfectly located on W. Jones Street. We wondered all around town nearby. Would stay here over and over again. Chase is a wonderful host!

This historic property is centrally located on West Jones; arguably the most beautiful street in Savannah. You will be walking distance (assuming you are capable ) of many popular destinations. Riverwalk-.6 miles, Mrs. Wilkes and Crystal Beer Parlor are a literal stones throw. Numerous attractions may also be enjoyed, nearby. The home is suitable for two couples with separate bedrooms and baths. There is ample space in the den area and a sizeable kitchen and dining area. Also a common area courtyard for relaxation. Book with confidence.
