„The Bothy was a lovely place for a break away. Quiet but close to Moffat and beautiful walks all around. Karen was a wonderful host along with her dogs Suzy and Radley. Communication was quick and helpful. We loved the wood burning fire in the evenings. Thank you Karen for letting us enjoy The Bothy. Will definately be back in the future.“

„This is a fantastic cottage in an adorable village. It has rolling hills, a burn and lots of sheep! The cottage itself was quite large and was fit for our family of 6, including adult children and their spouses. It was clean, decorated well and rather comfortable. There are amenities within walking distance such as a pub, museum, etc. We wished we had stayed longer and we'll definitely return!“

„Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean.“

„Excellent, pristine accommodation with all the extra added touches and more. Located next to the owners own home whom were not intrusive. The garden is welcoming with the added benefits of seeing the two resident horses in the adjacent field. You may be welcomed by two wee black cats whom can curl up on the porch, an animal lovers dream. Cathy is an excellent host whom responds quickly to any queries. I would highly recommend this property for anyone whom wants a rest from everyday life and ...

"The building and grounds are impressive. The staff are welcoming and gracious. The dinner was good but expensive. Breakfast was fine. However, there should never be any signs of mould in a bathroom and the grit around the windows could easily be addressed. "
