The Mayan Princess Hotel is one of those rare places that delivers exactly what travelers actually want: comfort, cleanliness, convenience, and genuine hospitality.
Its location in the heart of San Pedro is ideal, close to everything yet still relaxed and easy to retreat to after a day out. The property feels safe, secure, and exceptionally well kept. Both the grounds and the rooms were spotless throughout my stay, and the accommodations are particularly well appointed by Belize standards.
The full kitchen is a major plus, especially for longer stays, and thoughtful practical touches make a real difference here. The hotel offers 5-gallon water jugs as needed for a small fee, and on-site laundry service is available upon request. Having clothes washed, neatly folded, and returned to your room felt like a small luxury that made the stay even more enjoyable.
While there is no pool, it hardly feels like a compromise. The hotel provides lounge chairs right on the beach and out on the dock over the water, which is a lovely place to unwind. Cushions and beach towels are available at the front desk upon request.
What truly sets this property apart is the staff: warm, friendly, helpful, and consistently welcoming.
For the price, this hotel offers outstanding value, and I would return without hesitation.
