„Pros: the host was super responsive and very plant to deal with. The Latin is very nice, quiet and lots of parking spaces. The kitchen was well stock with spices and coffee, and creamer! Cons: the bed was a little too soft for us. More instructions would be great- how to turn on the fireplace, Google and its bad direction (running into a fenced dead end), gate code is provided AFTER getting inside the house (had to wait for a fuest to exit the ground and squeezed in). „I gave tis 5 stars even though this is an older building, with some older furniture, because it was very clean, the hosts responded fast, directions for check in/out were very clear, the hot tub was clean and hot! The wifi wasnt great, but we were informed of that and didnt need it. Great off the main road location and close enough to everything we needed in minutes. Oh and the temperature inside stayed a perfect 70! Wonderful hideout getaway!!!“

"Everything was great! The breakfast was a little lackluster but that could be due to the fact we went down 30 minutes before it ended. Even so, several things, such as utensils were empty and were not refilled and there seemed to be a general state of chaos in the breakfast area."

"Super Alternative zur Übernachtung in einem Motel. Wir haben zu viert in einem Airstream übernachtet. Die Schlafcouch ist knapp so groß wie ein Queensize Bett. Also für 2 Kinder oder 2 Teenager für 1-2 Nächte machbar. Gutes Bett und schönes Bad. Der Wasserdruck war etwas schlecht, ging aber. Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert. Man kann sich einen Bollerwagen kostenlos ausleihen um sein Gepäck vom Auto zum Wohnwagen zu transportieren. Das Gelände ist Autofrei, aber die Wege sind machbar. Man kann für ca 10 Dollar Holz kaufen und an der eigenen Feuerstelle Feuer machen und grillen. Es gibt auch eine Microwelle. Wir hatten Würstchen gegrillt und Beilagen in der Micro gemacht und abends schön draußen gesessen. Solange der Vorrat reicht können sich Fahrräder ausgeliehen werden. Es gibt einen schönen Pool und einen Zugang zum Fluss. Wir waren im Fluss, der ist an der Stelle nicht tief und ziemlich ruhig. Das Clubhaus ist schön gestaltet und es gibt Getränke und eine kleine Essenskarte sowie ein Shop mit Souvenirs und Essen."

"Reliable, Practical, and Great Value I recently stayed at the Vagabond Inn Bakersfield South, and it was exactly what I needed. If you are familiar with brands like Super 8 or Motel 6, you’ll know exactly what to expect here—it’s a no-frills, practical motel that gets the job done. What really stood out was the excellent value for money. Everything was exactly as described and expected. The location is super convenient, making it a perfect spot for a stopover. One big plus compared to other budget options (like Motel 6, which usually only offers coffee) is that they include a basic breakfast and coffee. While it is simple and limited, it’s a nice touch that adds extra value to the stay. Parking was easy and hassle-free, and I felt completely safe throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a straightforward, affordable, and reliable place to sleep in Bakersfield, this is a solid choice. I was definitely satisfied with my experience."
