The space
NOTE: As of late September we have built a small, in ground swimming pool to the backyard! It heats up to 85 degrees depending on the temperature outside. If its very cold outside it may not reach temps that high, but should still heat to comfortable temperatures! Let me know if you have questions about the pool!
The pool is smaller, about 8 x 17 ft and 4 ft deep. It lights up at night too! We added a few iPhone pictures of the pool to the pictures, we will be getting new pictures soon!
We wanted to create an Airbnb that checked as many boxes as possible. Board and Table Games? Check. Family-friendly location? Check. Huge outdoor space for grilling and hanging out? Check. 15 mins or less to downtown? Check. All king beds? Check. A private place to park your car? Check! Live TV? Check! 3 full bathrooms? Check!
We will start from the bottom floor, then the backyard, the 2nd floor in our description.
STUDY & LOUNGE SPACE:
When you first walk into the door, to your right you will see our Study and game space. It features a desk, a couch, a full-sized shuffleboard table, and a 4 person table. The desk has a monitor and an HDMI cable so you can use your laptop... so you can leave your 2nd screen at home if you have to work while you're here! The shuffleboard table is regulation sized and a ton of fun. It also fits perfectly into the space. The table is perfect for playing a game of cards or playing a board game! The desk also has an Apple Homepod Mini, perfect for playing some background music as you play, work or study!
KITCHEN AND DINING AREA:
When you first walk in, to your right is the dining space that opens up to the kitchen. The dining room table is very big and can seat 8 people. The kitchen bar can seat 2 more people, allowing for a group of 10 people to have a meal together. The kitchen has everything you would expect from an Airbnb. The fridge, oven, dishwasher, stove, and microwave is all here. We also spent extra on premium pots, pans, and cutlery. While most Airbnb opts to skimp on that kind of thing, we know many of our guests love cooking, so we wanted this kitchen to make it as easy and stress-free as possible. Our kitchen also features a Keurig that features both K-cups and a standard coffee option. We supply the coffee, as well as paper towels and more! Also in our kitchen is a blender, a slow cooker, and a toaster!
ENTERTAINMENT AREA:
Our Entertainment Area was a space that was a challenge for us. We packed in as many amenities as possible. The kind of amenities we know Airbnb guests love having. We installed a 65in TCL 6 Series TV. This is a premium TV that is one of the brightest and most colorful on the market. The TV has an Apple TV 4k hooked up to it. The Apple TV has access to our personal movie library that features new Movies Like "Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness", "The Batman" and older titles like Ghost Busters and Jurassic Park. These movies are in Dolby Vision and 4k. They look amazing on our big screen! If you have never tried these games get ready for a treat!
Also featured in this room is a foosball table, a mini-fridge an amazing sectional couch, and even two Murphy/ Cabinet Beds. These beds can be folded out of a cabinet and are surprisingly comfy. They are easy to turn into beds and easy to fold back in to open the space back up again. This room also has a utility closet where you can find things like a pack-n-play, a washer, and a dryer.
THE BACKYARD:
A backyard that we can be proud of! We built a gazebo, added a solo stove fire pit, and electric gate, created a parking lot and finally an outdoor kitchen, complete with a Webber Gas Grill that is hooked up to our natural gas line, so no propane to worry about here! We have several outdoor games (and will take requests for more) a huge 65 in outdoor TV, and plenty of seating for a fun grilling session that everybody can enjoy!
We installed an electric gate to the back of the backyard and an entryway. You have plenty of space back here to park your cars. The gate is opened via a key fab that we loan to you OR via an app called Remootio that you can use during your stay.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
There is one bedroom and one bathroom downstairs. The bathroom is a hallway bathroom, and the bedroom is not a master (that is upstairs). The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs, including a master with a full bathroom and an additional hallway bathroom. There are no extra spaces upstairs, just bedrooms.
Each bedroom has a king bed, a closet, and a smart Roku TV. All TVs in the house have live TV via Spectrum TV. Watch sports or news using our live TV service, or log into your favorite apps, like Netflix, Disney Plus, and more. Each bedroom also features fresh comforters that are washed off-site. Too many airbnbs do not wash their comforters between every guest, only the sheets. We think that's horrible! We have a laundry system that allows us to bring in fresh comforters between every guest, so you know they will be clean upon arrival.
Guest access
Guest have complete privacy in the backyard and inside the house. You can access the house from the front of the house facing the street or from the back, where we have a private driveway with an electronic gate. There's room for 3 cars in the private driveway and an additional 2 cars parking in front of the house on the street.
Other things to note
- Guests can either use our house key fab to open and close our private electronic gate for the back, or can use an app called "Remootio" or both!
- This is a quiet neighborhood. After 10 pm we do not allow music outside.
