„Great room, lots of character, friendly staff, nice food, definitely be booking again“

„Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream.“

„Our room decor was very tired and tatty, the shower was no more than warm, the plug in the sink was broken and the shower had no hand held wand so you had to get wet all over. The bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok.“

„So schön eingerichtet. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tolle Lage im Nationalpark. Toll mit Hund!“

„I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.“

„Tolle Lage, gute Parkplätze und freundliches Personal. Abendessen und Frühstück einfach Klasse. Schönes Zimmer mit tollem Bad. Es gibt nichts zum aufsetzen “

„Frühstück war typisch englisch und sehr gut“

„Room 3, an Indugence Room. I’d say it could be more indulging - larger bed, mattress topper, bathrobes - for example. Unfortunately it’s above the pub so can be noisy, especially when the staff run up and down the creaky stairs - we spent the night in our room and it was a constant irritation. But other than that, the food is excellent, lovely decor, nice atmosphere, and Stockbridge is awesome.“

„The property was nice and we enjoyed the beautiful garden. The location was great too in the New Forest. Staff was very friendly and allowed us to store our bikes in a closed garage. The room we booked did not meet the requirements for a proper hotel room. It was too tiny and neither a chair nor a table would fit in. The bathroom was okay and we had warm water all the time. If you opened the window, there was a constant noise from a ventilation system which was installed right behind the window. ...

„We were not expecting such a great hotel - it is truly a 'New Forest Inn', at breakfast we were treated to a 'walk-by' of New Forest Ponies' - which was fun as they walked very slowly past the 'Inn'. And the breakfast was 'scrumptious'! Food was fabulous, staff were very friendly - and the room was very comfortable and clean - would definitely stay here again - very many thanks - Larisa & Paul Warren-Smith “

„A lovely old English pub set in the beautiful New Forest what more can I say. Great overnight stay and we would definitely stay there again. Fantastic location“
